Siemens Gamesa unterzeichnet Absichtserklärung zur Lizenzierung von 11 MW Direct Drive Offshore-Technologie an China Energy United Power

(WK-intern) – Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy hat mit der Unterzeichnung eines Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) mit China Energy United Power Technology Co., Ltd. während der laufenden 4. Ausgabe von China International einen weiteren Schritt zur Weiterentwicklung seines erfolgreichen Lizenzgeschäftsmodells im weltweit größten Offshore-Markt unternommen Import Expo in Shanghai, China.

Bisher hat sich Siemens Gamesa mit seinem Lizenzgeschäftsmodell bereits eine solide Präsenz im chinesischen Offshore-Windmarkt aufgebaut.

Von Siemens Gamesa lizenzierte Offshore-Technologien werden bereits in vielen der laufenden Offshore-Windturbinen des Landes eingesetzt und unterstützen das chinesische Bestreben, saubere Energie und eine kohlenstoffarme Wirtschaft zu entwickeln.

Im Rahmen dieser Vereinbarung beabsichtigt Siemens Gamesa, seine 11-MW-Direktantriebs-Offshore-Technologie an United Power zu lizenzieren. Dies beinhaltet die Unterstützung von United Power beim Einsatz der lizenzierten Offshore-Technologie in den Hoheitsgewässern des chinesischen Festlandes.

Die SG 11.0-200 DD ist die neueste Generation des Offshore-Windturbinenportfolios von Siemens Gamesa, die in Serie geht.
Es basiert auf dem tiefen Verständnis und der Expertise von Siemens Gamesa für seine bewährte Offshore-Direktantriebstechnologie. Für dieses Turbinenmodell liegen bereits mehr als 3 GW Aufträge für mehrere Projekte in Europa vor. Auf globaler Technologieebene wurden mehr als 1.400 Siemens Gamesa Offshore Direct Drive Turbinen in allen wichtigen Märkten installiert.

In den letzten Jahren ist China laut National Energy Administration of China schnell zum weltweit größten Offshore-Markt mit einer netzgekoppelten Kapazität von 10,42 GW bis April 2021 gewachsen. Die Offshore-Technologien von Siemens Gamesa unterstützten mehr als 6 GW Offshore-Kraftwerke in China.

Forging ahead in China: Siemens Gamesa signs MoU to license 11 MW Direct Drive offshore technology to China Energy United Power

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy took an additional step in advancing its successful licensing business model in the world’s single largest offshore market by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Energy United Power Technology Co., Ltd. during the ongoing 4th edition of China International Import Expo held in Shanghai, China. So far, Siemens Gamesa has already made a solid footprint in the Chinese offshore wind market through its licensing business model. Siemens Gamesa-licensed offshore technologies are already used in many of the country’s running offshore wind turbines, supporting the Chinese endeavor to develop clean energy and a low-carbon economy.

Under this agreement, Siemens Gamesa intends to license its 11 MW Direct Drive offshore technology to United Power. This entails supporting United Power to deploy the licensed offshore technology in the Chinese mainland’s territorial waters.

The SG 11.0-200 DD is the most recent generation of Siemens Gamesa’s offshore wind turbine portfolio to enter serial manufacturing. It is based on Siemens Gamesa’s deep understanding and expertise of its proven offshore Direct Drive technology. More than 3 GW of orders for this turbine model have already been received for multiple projects in Europe. On a global technology level, more than 1,400 Siemens Gamesa offshore Direct Drive turbines have been installed in all major markets.

In the last few years, China grew quickly to become the world’s largest offshore market with a grid-connected capacity of 10.42 GW by April 2021, according to the National Energy Administration of China. The Siemens Gamesa offshore technologies supported more than 6 GW offshore power installations in China.
