Engie Brasil Energia SA hat mit Vestas einen Vertrag über den Windpark Serra de Assuruá im Bundesstaat Bahia in der Gemeinde Gentio do Ouro, Brasilien, unterzeichnet.

(WK-intern) – Das Projekt hat nach vollständiger Installation eine Gesamtkapazität von 846 MW und ist damit das größte Windprojekt in Lateinamerika.

Der Festauftrag umfasst die Erstlieferung, Installation, den Betrieb und die Wartung von 120 V150-4,5-MW-Turbinen für die erste 540-MW-Phase von Serra de Assuruá.

Neben Phase 1 beinhaltet der Vertrag die Option für ENGIE, bis Ende 2022 weitere 68 Einheiten für Phase zwei des Windparks zu erwerben. Vestas wird außerdem einen 25-jährigen Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) Servicevertrag liefern. Diese Vereinbarung wird die Energieerzeugung optimieren und gleichzeitig langfristige Business-Case-Sicherheit bieten.

Die Auslieferung und der kommerzielle Betrieb von Serra do Assuruá sollen voraussichtlich ab der zweiten Jahreshälfte 2024 schrittweise aufgenommen werden.

Mit diesem Projekt übertrifft Vestas den Meilenstein von 8 GW Auftragseingang in Brasilien für 4-MW-Plattform-Windturbinen seit 2018 und konsolidiert es als die meistverkaufte Windturbinen-Plattform aller Zeiten in Brasilien. Seit der Einführung der Plattform im Jahr 2010 hat Vestas weltweit mehr als 59 GW an 4-MW-Plattform-Windturbinen installiert.

Vestas closes an agreement with ENGIE to implement the largest wind project in Latin America

Engie Brasil Energia SA, has signed an agreement with Vestas for the Serra de Assuruá wind park in the state of Bahia, in the municipality of Gentio do Ouro, Brazil. The project has a total nameplate capacity of 846 MW once fully installed, making it the largest wind project in Latin America.

The firm order includes the initial supply, installation, operation and maintenance of 120 V150-4.5 MW turbines for the 540 MW first phase of Serra de Assuruá. In addition to phase 1, the contract includes the option for ENGIE to purchase another 68 units by the end of 2022 for phase two of the wind park. Vestas will also deliver a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. This agreement will optimise energy production while also providing long-term business case certainty.

The delivery and commercial operation of Serra do Assuruá is estimated to start gradually from the second half of 2024.
