IMCA veranstaltet auf der Londoner Global Offshore Wind Conference eine Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema nachhaltige Verträge im Bereich Offshore-Windkraft

(WK-intern) – Die International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) veranstaltet am Donnerstag, den 15. Juni, um 13.15 Uhr auf der Global Offshore Wind in London eine Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema nachhaltige Vertragsgestaltung mit Gästen von BP, GE Renewable Energy und DEME Offshore.

Die Podiumsdiskussion, die von Iain Grainger, CEO von IMCA, moderiert wird, findet am zweiten Tag der größten Offshore-Windveranstaltung in Großbritannien statt. Auf der Bühne stehen neben ihm Hugo Bouvy (Deme Offshore), Richard Haydock (BP) und Richard Huxley (GE Renewable Energy).

Gemeinsam wird das Gremium diskutieren, wie die Offshore- und Energiesektoren zusammenkommen können, um gemeinsam die Risiko- und Kostenherausforderungen anzugehen, mit denen Offshore-Windenergie auf der ganzen Welt konfrontiert ist, und baut auf der jüngsten IMCA-Kampagne für gerechtere Verträge in diesem Bereich auf.

Iain Grainger, CEO von IMCA, sagte: „Ich freue mich, dieses Gremium zu einer zeitgemäßen Diskussion über die Lösung der Probleme, mit denen wir im Bereich Offshore-Wind konfrontiert sind, einberufen zu haben.“ Obwohl es große Ambitionen und Erwartungen gibt, stehen wir gleichzeitig vor großen Herausforderungen in der gesamten Lieferkette. Diese können nur dann bewältigt werden, wenn wir uns als Branche zusammentun und ihnen direkt entgegentreten.

Anfang der Woche wird Iain Grainger am Dienstag, den 13. Juni 2023 um 15:30 Uhr den Teilnehmern der Seawork in Southampton, Großbritannien, die IMCA-Kampagne für nachhaltige Vertragsabschlüsse im Bereich Offshore-Windenergie vorstellen. Die Veranstaltung ist Europas größte Ausstellung für kommerzielle Schiffs- und Arbeitsboote auf dem Wasser.

Iain fügte hinzu: „Es ist mir eine Ehre, auf der Seawork 2023 zu sprechen, was mein erster externer Vortrag als IMCA-CEO sein wird, und ich freue mich darauf, nächste Woche Mitglieder und die Branche in Southampton zu treffen.“

IMCA hosts panel on sustainable contracting in offshore wind at London’s Global Offshore Wind Conference

The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) is hosting a panel on sustainable contracting at Global Offshore Wind in London with guests from BP, GE Renewable Energy, and DEME Offshore, on Thursday 15 June at 1.15pm.

The panel discussion, which will be compered by IMCA CEO Iain Grainger, will take place on day two of the UK’s largest dedicated offshore wind event. Joining him on stage will be Hugo Bouvy (Deme Offshore), Richard Haydock (BP), and Richard Huxley (GE Renewable Energy).

Together the panel will discuss how the offshore and energy sectors can come together to collaboratively address the risk and cost challenges that offshore wind is facing around the world and builds on the recent IMCA campaign for fairer contracts in this space.

Iain Grainger, IMCA CEO, said: “I’m delighted to have convened this panel for what will be a timely discussion on solving the issues we face in offshore wind. While there are huge ambitions and expectations, we are simultaneously facing significant challenges across the supply chain. These will only be overcome if we come together as an industry to face these head-on.

“Our panel – which brings together representatives from energy firms, developers, and contractors – is made up of experienced subject matter experts who are not shy of sharing their views. We hope for an engaged audience, with plenty of participation and debate, to help us push the agenda forward and I look forward to seeing you there.”

Earlier in the week, Iain Grainger will be presenting on the IMCA campaign for sustainable contracting in offshore wind to attendees at Seawork in Southampton, UK, on Tuesday 13 June 2023 at 3.30pm. The event is Europe’s largest on-water commercial marine and workboat exhibition.

Iain added: “It is an honour to be speaking at Seawork 2023, for what will be my first external speaking engagement as IMCA CEO and I’m looking forward to meeting members and the industry in Southampton next week.”
