Asia Wind Energy Association joins WFO

• The Asia Wind Energy Association (AsiaWEA) is Asia-Pacific’s leading wind energy industry association representing more than 300 corporate members in the region
• WFO and AsiaWEA agree to cooperate on different levels and work together on offshore wind events in Asia-Pacific
• AsiaWEA is the second large regional wind energy association to join WFO

(WK-intern) – WORLD FORUM OFFSHORE WIND – WFO – welcomes the Asia Wind Energy Association (AsiaWEA) as its newest member.

AsiaWEA is the leading industry association for the wind energy sector in Asia-Pacific and the second large regional wind energy association to join WFO, following the US Business Network for Offshore Wind, which is among WFO’s founding members, and represents over 200 member businesses in the USA.

Established in 2016, AsiaWEA acts as the regional platform for all wind power industry stakeholders to collectively promote the best interests of the wind power sector. AsiaWEA represents more than 100 members across the Asia-Pacific region. Members include power project developers, turbine manufacturers, technical consultants, financial institutions, regional associations and other institutions in the wind energy sector.

WFO is proud to support all of AsiaWEA’s offshore wind events such as the upcoming 5th Asia Offshore Wind Day in Tokyo on January 24, 2019. In addition, WFO is looking forward to its first flagship event – the 1st Global Offshore Wind Summit – to be held in Taipei on March 5-6, 2019. This two-day summit will bring together key offshore wind decision makers from Asia, North America and Europe to discuss the industry’s way forward and to send a joint message from the global offshore wind community to governments around the world: It’s time for the global rollout!
