RWE weiht seinen größten Windpark in Frankreich ein

• Der Windpark Nouvions verfügt über 11 Turbinen mit einer Gesamtleistung von 44 MW, die leistungsstärkste, die RWE in Frankreich installiert hat
• Die Nordex N149-Windturbinen, aus denen der Park besteht, werden die ersten ihrer Art sein, die in Frankreich installiert werden
• Der Park wird rund 19.000 Haushalte mit Ökostrom versorgen

(WK-intern) – Clichy – RWE weiht heute einen neuen Onshore-Windpark in Aisne in Hauts-de-France in den Gemeinden Nouvion-et-Catillon und Nouvion-le-Comte ein.

Der von RWE in Absprache mit Bürgern und lokalen Interessenvertretern entwickelte Windpark wurde im Februar 2024 in Betrieb genommen.

Der Park umfasst 11 Windturbinen mit einer Einheitsleistung von 4 MW und einer Gesamtleistung von 44 MW, um den jährlichen Strombedarf von rund 100.000 Euro zu decken 19.000 Wohnungen (Heizung inklusive). Die elf Nordex N149-Windenergieanlagen erreichen an der Blattspitze eine Höhe von 179,5 m und sind damit die ersten dieser Baureihe in Frankreich.

Lokale Integration als Herzstück einer erfolgreichen Entwicklung

Seit dem Projektstart im November 2021 stellt RWE die bestmögliche Umwelt- und Landschaftsintegration des Projekts in den Mittelpunkt seiner Strategie. RWE arbeitete insbesondere mit einem unabhängigen Designbüro zusammen, um die möglichen Auswirkungen von Windkraftanlagen auf fliegende Wildtiere zu untersuchen. Es wurden mehrere zusätzliche Maßnahmen ergriffen, beispielsweise die Installation einer Barriere zum Schutz von Fledermäusen oder die Pflanzung von Bäumen in der Stadt Nouvion-le-Comte. In Absprache mit den örtlichen Erwartungen wurde auch eine Renovierung der Kirche von Nouvion-et-Catillon durchgeführt.

Les Nouvions ist der sechste Windpark, den RWE in der Region einweiht. Die Gesamtbetriebsleistung beträgt 126 MW. RWE ist durch den Erwerb eines großen Portfolios ein historischer Akteur in der nördlichen Region und verfügt seit letztem Jahr über ein Regionalbüro in Lille. Darüber hinaus hat die Gruppe in den letzten Monaten die Zahl der erteilten Genehmigungen auf 211 MW erhöht und entwickelt derzeit mehr als 400 MW an Windprojekten in verschiedenen Stadien, gleichmäßig verteilt auf die fünf regionalen Departements.

Clichy, RWE inaugure ce jour un nouveau parc éolien terrestre situé dans l’Aisne dans les Hauts-de-France, sur les communes de Nouvion-et-Catillon et de Nouvion-le-Comte. Développé par RWE en concertation avec les citoyens et les acteurs du territoire, le parc éolien a été mis en service en février 2024. Le parc comprend 11 éoliennes d’une puissance unitaire de 4 MW pour une puissance totale de 44 MW permettant de répondre aux besoins annuels en électricité d’environ 19 000 foyers (chauffage compris). Les onze éoliennes Nordex N149 atteignent 179,5 m de hauteur en bout de pale, ce sont les premières de cette gamme en France.

L’intégration locale au cœur d’un développement réussi

Depuis le lancement du chantier en novembre 2021, RWE a mis au cœur de sa stratégie  la meilleure intégration environnementale et paysagère possible du projet. RWE a notamment œuvré avec un bureau d’études indépendant afin d’étudier l’impact éventuel des éoliennes sur la faune volante. Plusieurs mesures ont été déployées en complément, comme la mise en place d’un bridage pour la protection des chauves-souris ou la plantation d’arbres sur la commune de Nouvion-le-Comte. Une rénovation de l’église de Nouvion-et-Catillon a également été réalisée, en concertation avec les attentes locales.

Les Nouvions est le sixième parc éolien que RWE inaugure dans la région, portant à 126 MW la puissance totale en exploitation. Clichy – RWE is celebrating today the inauguration of a new onshore wind farm in the Aisne department of Hauts-de-France (France), located in the municipalities of Nouvion-et-Catillon and Nouvion-le-Comte. This project, developed in close collaboration with local residents and stakeholders, was commissioned in February 2024. The Nouvions wind farm features 11 turbines, each with a capacity of 4 MW, for a total capacity of 44 MW, and will meet the annual electricity needs of around 19,000 households. The N149 turbines, produced by Nordex and standing at a height of 179.5 meters, are the first of their kind to be installed in France.

Local roots at the heart of a successful development

Since construction began in November 2021, RWE has prioritized ensuring the best possible integration of the wind farm into the environment and landscape.

Collaborating with an independent research unit, RWE assessed the potential impact of the wind turbines on bird life. Several additional measures have been implemented, including the installation of flanges to protect bats and the planting of trees in Nouvion-le-Comte. Additionally, the Nouvion-et-Catillon church was renovated to meet local expectations.
