RWE sichert sich bei der jüngsten Ausschreibungsrunde der französischen Regulierung die meisten Onshore-Windprojekte

Die französische CRE (Kommission zur Energieregulierung) hat die Ergebnisse der jüngsten Ausschreibungsrunde für Onshore-Windenergie (AO 14) für eine ausgewählte Leistung von 1007 MW zu einem Durchschnittspreis von 87,23 Euro/MWh veröffentlicht.

RWE hat sich als einer der Hauptempfänger herausgestellt und sich Verträge für acht Projekte mit einer Gesamtkapazität von 108,7 MW gesichert. Mit diesem Erfolg ist die Gruppe das führende Unternehmen hinsichtlich der Anzahl der vergebenen Projekte und der zweitgrößte Entwickler hinsichtlich der vergebenen Kapazität. Dieser jüngste Erfolg bestätigt die Strategie von RWE, das bereits 2023 zu den am häufigsten ausgezeichneten Betreibern zählte.

RWE diversifiziert sein Portfolio weiter

Die acht von RWE gesicherten Projekte liegen überwiegend im Norden Frankreichs, in den Regionen Hauts-de-France und Normandie. Die erste Inbetriebnahme wird für 2025 erwartet und soll bis 2028 dauern.

Seit seinem Eintritt in den französischen Markt Ende 2020 hat RWE 185 MW erneuerbare Energiekapazitäten erfolgreich in Betrieb genommen. Das Unternehmen entwickelt derzeit über 1,3 GW an Onshore-Windprojekten und fast 800 MWp an Solarprojekten in Frankreich. Darüber hinaus nimmt RWE derzeit an allen französischen Offshore-Windausschreibungen teil. Als Vorreiter der Energiewende hat sich der Konzern zum Ziel gesetzt, seine globale Kapazität für grüne Technologien bis 2030 auf 65 GW auszubauen. Um dieses ehrgeizige Ziel zu erreichen, will RWE zwischen 2024 und dem Ende des Jahrzehnts 55 Milliarden Euro investieren.

RWE secures the highest number of onshore wind projects at French regulation latest bidding round

• RWE has successfully secured 8 of the 57 projects in the latest bidding round

The French CRE (Commission for the Regulation of Energy) has published the results for the latest onshore wind bidding round (AO 14), for a selected capacity of 1007 MW at an average price of 87.23 euros/MWh.

RWE has emerged as one of the main recipients, securing contracts for 8 projects with a combined capacity of 108.7 MW. This achievement positions the Group as the foremost company in terms of the number of awarded projects and the second-largest developer in terms of the awarded capacity. This latest success confirms RWE’s strategy, which was already one of the most awarded operators in 2023.

RWE further diversifies its portfolio

The 8 projects secured by RWE are primarily located in the northern France, in the Hauts-de France and Normandy regions. Initial commissioning is expected in 2025 and should run until 2028.

The company is currently developing over 1.3 GW of onshore wind projects and nearly 800 MWp of solar projects in France. Moreover, RWE is currently participating in all French offshore wind tenders.
