(WK-intern) – Equipmake, der in Großbritannien ansässige Ingenieursspezialist, der Pionierarbeit in der Entwicklung und Produktion von Elektrifizierungsprodukten für die Automobil-, Luft- und Raumfahrt- sowie Bus- und Reisebusindustrie leistet, hat einer Produktionstechnologiepartnerschaft mit dem führenden Unternehmen für elektrische Luft- und Raumfahrtantriebe H55 zugestimmt.

Die neue Vereinbarung baut auf einer bereits bestehenden Zusammenarbeit auf, bei der Equipmake fortschrittliche Elektromotoren zur Unterstützung der Entwicklung des H55 Electric Propulsion System (EPS) lieferte.

Equipmake und H55 arbeiten bei der Entwicklung serienreifer, zertifizierter EPS zusammen, wobei Equipmake seine leichte Leistung liefert dichte, hochleistungsfähige Elektromotoren auf dem neuesten Stand der Technik für den Einsatz in Elektroflugzeugen. Die Zertifizierung ist für Ende 2024 geplant.

Equipmake wurde aufgrund seines Fachwissens in fortschrittlicher Elektrifizierungstechnologie und schneller Fertigung mit den maßgeschneiderten Hochleistungsmotoren ausgewählt, die für H55 unter Verwendung seines proprietären Rotordesigns entwickelt wurden und die Halbach-Array-Technologie nutzen, um erhebliche Vorteile zu bieten. Equipmake wird H55 bei seinem Kundenprogramm mit dem Flugzeughersteller BRM AERO beim Bristell B23 Energic-Flugzeug unterstützen, einem zweisitzigen elektrischen Trainer für Flugschulen und Pilotenausbildung, während das Projekt von der Prototypenentwicklung bis zur vollständigen Fertigung voranschreitet.

EQUIPMAKE SIGNS AEROSPACE ELECTRIC MOTOR PRODUCTION SUPPLY AGREEMENT WITH H55

• New deal sees both companies build on considerable technology development agreeing certified Electric Propulsion System (EPS) production partnership
• H55 will initially commercialize a 100kW fully certified EPS, with Equipmake providing world-class motors based on H55 specifications, and H55 the certified motor controller

Equipmake, the UK-based engineering specialist pioneering the development and production of electrification products across the automotive, aerospace, bus, and coach industries, has agreed to a production technology partnership with leading electric aerospace propulsion company H55.

The new agreement builds on a collaboration already in place – which has seen Equipmake supply advanced electric motors to support H55 Electric Propulsion System (EPS) development – with Equipmake and H55 partnering on production-ready, certified EPS, with Equipmake supplying its lightweight, power dense, high-performance state-of-the art electric motors for use in electric aircraft. Certification is planned for end of 2024.

Equipmake has been chosen for its expertise in advanced electrification technology and rapid manufacturing with the bespoke high-performance motors created for H55 using its proprietary rotor design, using Halbach array technology to deliver significant advantages. Equipmake will support H55 on its customer program with aircraft manufacturer BRM AERO, on the Bristell B23 Energic aircraft, a two-seater electric trainer designed for flight schools and pilot training, as the project advances from prototype development to full manufacturing.
