(WK-intern) – Am 4. August wurde die erste von fünf Windturbinen installiert.

Das Offshore-Projekt wurde so erfolgreich weit vor dem Zeitplan fertig gestellt.

Last turbine on Block Island Wind Farm successfully installed

The last blade was installed yesterday on the fifth and final GE Renewable Energy Haliade 150-6MW turbine on the Block Island Wind Farm. The first turbine was installed on 4th August, meaning the project was completed successfully well ahead of schedule.

“We are extremely proud to have been part of this historic first offshore wind project in the US together with GE Renewable Energy, Deepwater Wind, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier and the rest of the involved parties,” said Michael Høj Olsen, Chief Commercial Officer of Global Wind Service (GWS).
