März 2014 We have installed more than 51,000 turbines on six continents, which generate more than 90 million MWh of energy per year- enough electricity to supply millions of households. / Vestas / PS: Deutsche Experten würden sagen: „Das ist doch nicht innovativ!“ From March 10 to 13 2014 wind energy players will discuss new technological developments, showcase their experience, latest products and services and debate on future wind sector trends at EWEA 2014, in Barcelona, Spain. Vestas, world leader in wind energy, will actively participate at Europe’s premier wind energy event which not only offers a platform to showcase cutting-edge technological knowledge, but also high level debates on European policy, markets and financial issues. (WK-intern) – At Barcelona, Vestas will also be providing a global perspective on the European wind energy sector. This will happen through participation in presentations, workshops and panels such as the Industry leaders’ debate, Tuesday, March 11 (8:30 -10:30, Ponent room), where Anders Runevad, Vestas’ President and CEO, will be taking the floor. On Tuesday, March 11, (14:45 – 15:15, Ciutadella Room, Hall 8.0 – conference area) Vestas will be holding an industry targeted workshop focusing on EU2030 targets and electricity market designs, where policy makers, policy specialists and representatives from utilities will join the debate and discuss future trends. Vestas will have a 210 sq. meter booth at the exhibition (Hall 7, stand 7C20), which will be staffed by Vestas employees who will be pleased to discuss products, services and after sales solutions, together with perspectives on wind energy. The booth will also host several rounds of presentations on Vestas’ 2 MW and 3 MW platforms and offered services and will feature touch screens to interact with Vestas’ and wind energy world. Vestas will showcase all the products and capabilities that allowed us to pioneer the wind energy sector in more than 30 markets out of the 73 where we currently have installations. Through the newly launched Wind Power Pioneers platform, Vestas will share with customers and stakeholders the learnings of over 60 GW of wind power installed globally, for them to achieve new business objectives and together overcoming new challenges and reach new milestones. EWEA 2014 will also be the platform for Vestas’ Act on Facts campaign to be launched in Spain by the Asociación Empresarial Eólica, the Spanish wind energy association (AEE), supported by Vestas. The campaign – which will be introduced to Spanish citizens and EWEA visitors – is aimed at ensuring global citizens have an informed and balanced perspective about wind energy. Launched for the first time in June 2013 in Australia, Act on Facts is a digitally-based global campaign designed to separate anti-wind rhetoric from reality and channels public support toward political action favouring wind energy.
