Der Gemini Windpark, einer der größten Offshore-Windparks in den Niederlanden, ist nach einem Ausfall eines der Exportkabel zwischen dem Windpark und der Küste wieder voll betriebsbereit.

Eine Gruppe von Kabel- und Energiespezialisten, darunter ein Reparaturteam von NKT, half dem Gemini Windpark im Sommer bei einer schnellen Reparatur.

Das NKT-Team war für die Verbindung des Ersatzkabels zwischen dem Windpark und der Küste verantwortlich.

Rund 900.000 Haushalte werden mit nachhaltiger Energie aus dem Gemini Windpark versorgt. In diesem Sommer kam es im Windpark zu einem Kabelausfall in einem der Exportkabel zwischen dem Windpark und der Küste in den Niederlanden. Kabelausfälle können kostspielig sein und verringern die Leistung des Windparks erheblich.

Schnell wurde ein Reparaturteam zusammengestellt, und das NKT-Team leitete die Verbindung des Ersatzkabels zwischen dem Windpark und der Küste von Groningen.

NKT completes repair work on Gemini Wind Park connection

Gemini Wind Park, one of the largest offshore wind parks in the Netherlands, is once again fully operational after a failure in one of the export cables between the wind park and the shore. A group of cable and energy specialists, including a repair team from NKT, helped Gemini Wind Park with a fast repair during the summer. The NKT team was responsible for the jointing of the replacement cable between the windfarm and the coast.

Around 900,000 households are powered by sustainable energy from the Gemini Wind Park. This summer, the wind farm experienced a cable failure in one of the export cables between the wind park and the shore in the Netherlands. Cable downtime can be costly and significantly lowers the output from the wind farm.

Quickly a repair team was assembled, and the NKT team led the jointing of the replacement cable between the wind farm and the Groningen coast.
