Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy hat von Green Power Investment den Festauftrag für das 112-MW-Offshore-Windkraftprojekt Ishikari erhalten.

(WK-intern) – Dieses Projekt ist der erste feste Offshore-Auftrag in Japan für den weltweit führenden Hersteller von Offshore-Windturbinen.

Der Auftrag umfasst 14 Offshore-Windenergieanlagen des Typs SG 8.0-167 DD mit einer Leistung von jeweils 8 Megawatt und einem 167-Meter-Rotor. Darüber hinaus beinhaltet der Auftrag einen 15-jährigen Full-Scope-Servicevertrag. Die Installation des Offshore-Windkraftprojekts Ishikari soll im Juli 2023 beginnen.

Der SG 8.0-167 DD ist speziell für den Offshore-Einsatz gebaut. Es ist darauf zugeschnitten, lokale Vorschriften und Standards in Bezug auf Taifune, seismische Aktivitäten, 50-Hertz-Betrieb sowie den Betrieb bei hohen und niedrigen Umgebungstemperaturen zu erfüllen. Der Rotor mit 167 Metern Durchmesser hat eine überstrichene Fläche von 21.900 m2 und verwendet B81-Blätter mit einer Länge von jeweils 81,4 Metern.

Die ClassNK-Zertifizierung der Windkraftanlage bestätigt, dass die SG 8.0-167 DD die strengen technischen Standards erfüllt, die für das Ishikari-Projekt erforderlich sind. Darüber hinaus ist das Ishikari-Projekt selbst das zweite kommerzielle Projekt, das die ClassNK-Zertifizierung erhalten hat. Dies ist für die japanische Regierung obligatorisch, um den Bau zu genehmigen. Das Projekt wird etwa fünf Kilometer vom Ufer der Ishikari-Bucht in Hokkaido, Japan, entfernt liegen.

Siemens Gamesa ist seit 1999 in Japan tätig. Die Erfolgsbilanz des Unternehmens im Onshore-Windbereich umfasst fast 600 MW installierte Leistung und 340 MW in Wartung und Betrieb. Japan ist nun das zweite Land mit festen Offshore-Aufträgen für Siemens Gamesa im asiatisch-pazifischen Raum. Das Unternehmen hat in Taiwan Festaufträge im Wert von mehr als 3 GW erhalten, darunter die Installation von Taiwans erster Offshore-Windkraftanlage im Jahr 2019.

Instrumental Ishikari: first firm offshore wind power order for Siemens Gamesa in Japan

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has been awarded the firm order for the 112-MW Ishikari offshore wind power project from Green Power Investment. This instrumental project is the first firm offshore order in Japan for the world’s leading manufacturer of offshore wind turbines.

The order includes 14 SG 8.0-167 DD offshore wind turbines, each with a capacity of 8 megawatts and featuring a 167-meter rotor. Additionally, the order includes a 15-year full-scope service agreement. The installation of the Ishikari offshore wind power project is planned to begin in July 2023.

The SG 8.0-167 DD is built specifically for offshore use. It is tailored to meet local codes and standards regarding typhoons, seismic activities, 50 Hertz operation, as well as operation in high and low ambient temperatures. The 167-meter diameter rotor has a swept area of 21,900 m2, and utilizes B81 blades, each measuring 81.4 meters.

ClassNK certification of the wind turbine confirms that the SG 8.0-167 DD meets the stringent, technical standards required for the Ishikari project. Furthermore, the Ishikari project itself is the second commercial scale project to receive ClassNK certification. This is mandatory for the Japanese government to approve construction. The project will be located approximately five kilometers from shore of the Ishikari Bay in Hokkaido, Japan.

Japan now becomes the second country with firm offshore orders for Siemens Gamesa in the Asia-Pacific region. The company has received more than 3 GW of firm orders in Taiwan, including the installation of Taiwan’s first offshore wind power plant in 2019.
