(WK-intern) – „Export Markets Assessment for the Dutch Offshore Wind Industry: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania“.

EUR liegt. Click here for the full article.

BLIX Consultancy presents offshore wind market updates during WFO webinar

What are the current trends and developments for offshore wind in the UK, Korea and the Netherlands? On the 19th of May, The World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO) organised a webinar together with industry experts, discussing this question. BLIX senior consultant Tim Drummen took part in the panel, discussing the trends for offshore wind in the Netherlands.

During the webinar, Tim highlighted the Dutch approach for offshore wind farm development, from assigning the dedicated offshore wind farm zone to tendering and permitting. Also the requirements for a tender in the Netherlands were discussed. Tim also discussed the operational and planned offshore wind farms and their developments for 2030. Finally, Tim highlighted the search areas for after 2030, which are needed in order to reach the Dutch Government’s target of having 38 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2050. You can watch the full webinar by clicking here.

BLIX releases new LCoE research for Dutch North Sea offshore wind energy search areas

All but one of the eight potential post-2030 offshore wind farm zones in the Netherlands are expected to have a net lower Levelised Cost of Energy (LCoE) compared to the IJmuiden Ver Wind Farm Zone, a preliminary study published by the Dutch Government concludes.

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, commissioned BLIX Consultancy and partners to conduct the LCoE study into the eight new search areas in the Dutch North Sea, along with IJmuiden Ver (noord), Hollandse Kust (noordwest), and Hollandse Kust (zuidwest) Wind Farm Zones, to determine whether further investigation is warranted. Combined, these post-2030 search areas have the potential for 64.9 GW of new offshore wind capacity.

Project leader Imke Maassen van den Brink from BLIX Consultancy said: „New offshore wind farms are essential to achieve climate neutrality, and this study plays an important role in defining the new wind farm zones for after 2030.” You can find the report and the full press release by clicking here.

Looking back on the Offshore Wind Development Course

DOB-Academy and BLIX Consultancy completed a successful edition of the Offshore Wind Project Development Course, with a special focus on the Asia Pacific region. In total, 18 international participants, from Brasil to Japan, joined the course.

The BLIX Consultancy teachers consisted of experts from the Utrecht and the Taiwan offices. Aspects such as site selection, design, installation, contracting, financing, risks and much more were discussed in the training course. Between lectures, participants were challenged to develop an offshore wind farm in Asia, during an interactive development game.
