Auftrag für Offshore-Umspannwerk Formosa 4 stärkt die Rolle von PTSC M&C und Semco Maritime im Offshore-Windenergiesektor

(WK-intern) – Das Konsortium aus Semco Maritime (Dänemark) und PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C, Vietnam) hat mit Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) einen EPC-Vertrag (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) für das Offshore-Umspannwerk des Windparks Formosa 4 vor der Küste Taiwans abgeschlossen.

Dieser Meilenstein unterstreicht die wachsende Bedeutung des Konsortiums in der globalen Offshore-Windindustrie.

Der von SRE entwickelte Offshore-Windpark Formosa 4 ist ein 495-MW-Projekt und stellt SREs dritte Offshore-Windenergieinitiative in Taiwan dar. Er steht im Einklang mit der taiwanesischen Lokalisierungspolitik und fördert die Ambitionen des Landes im Bereich erneuerbare Energien.

Nach umfangreichen Verhandlungsrunden erhielt das Konsortium aus Semco Maritime und PTSC M&C Ende August 2025 den EPC-Auftrag mit geplanter Lieferung Ende 2027. Der Auftrag des Konsortiums umfasst Planung, Beschaffung, Bau und Inbetriebnahme des Jackets und der Topside des Offshore-Umspannwerks. Semco Maritime wird die Planung, Beschaffung und Inbetriebnahme der wichtigsten elektrischen Mittel-/Hochspannungssysteme und der zusätzlichen Plattformsysteme leiten und dabei von seinem langjährigen Partner ISC Consulting Engineers unterstützt werden.

PTSC M&C wird den EPC-Umfang des Jackets, die Beschaffung der restlichen Topside-Ausrüstung und -Materialien sowie die Fertigung der Topside auf seiner Werft in Vung Tau, Vietnam, beaufsichtigen.

Neben den bereits gewonnenen Projekten ist Formosa 4 das dritte OSS-Projekt des Konsortiums in Taiwan, nach der erfolgreichen Umsetzung des OSS-Projekts Hai Long und des laufenden OSS-Projekts Feng Miao. Da alle Projekte planmäßig verlaufen, festigt der Formosa 4-Vertrag die Position des Konsortiums als vertrauenswürdiger Auftragnehmer in der Offshore-Wind-Lieferkette und für die Nachhaltigkeit in der Region.

Formosa 4 Offshore Substation award strengthens PTSC M&C and Semco Maritime’s Role in Offshore Wind

The consortium between Semco Maritime (Denmark) and PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C, Vietnam) has secured an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) for the offshore substation of the Formosa 4 wind farm, located off the coast of Taiwan.

This milestone reinforces the consortium’s growing prominence in the global offshore wind industry.

The Formosa 4 offshore wind farm, developed by SRE, is a 495 MW project and represents SRE’s third offshore wind initiative in Taiwan. It aligns with Taiwan’s localization policy, advancing the nation’s renewable energy ambitions.

Following extensive negotiation rounds, the Semco Maritime and PTSC M&C consortium was awarded the EPC contract in late August 2025 with scheduled delivery end of 2027. The consortium’s scope includes design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the offshore substation’s jacket and topside. Semco Maritime will lead the engineering, procurement, and commissioning of the main MV/HV electrical systems and auxiliary platform systems, supported by its long-term partner ISC Consulting Engineers.

PTSC M&C will oversee the jacket EPC scope; procurement of remaining topside equipment and materials, and fabrication of the topside, all at its yard in Vung Tau, Vietnam.

With all projects on track, the Formosa 4 contract solidifies the consortium as a trusted contractor in the offshore wind supply chain and sustainability in the region.
