Ørsted veräußert seinen verbleibenden 25 %-Anteil an London Array an von Schroders Greencoat verwaltete Fonds

(WK-intern) – Ørsted hat eine Vereinbarung mit Fonds unterzeichnet, die von Schroders Greencoat, einem globalen, spezialisierten Vermögensverwalter mit Schwerpunkt auf Infrastrukturanlagen für erneuerbare Energien, verwaltet werden, um seine verbleibende Minderheitsbeteiligung von 25 % am Offshore-Windpark London Array im Vereinigten Königreich zu veräußern.

Der Gesamtwert der Transaktion beträgt 717 Mio. GBP (6,17 Mrd. DKK).

London Array verfügt über eine installierte Gesamtkapazität von 630 MW und ging 2013 in den kommerziellen Betrieb. Ørsted besaß ursprünglich 50 % des Projekts und veräußerte 2014 zunächst 25 % von London Array an CDPQ. Ørsted trägt bei London Array keine O&M-Verantwortung, und da das Unternehmen nur eine Minderheitsbeteiligung hält, betrachtet Ørsted den Vermögenswert als nicht strategisch.

Ørsted bleibt der größte Akteur im britischen Offshore-Windpark, wo das Unternehmen eine Kapazität von mehr als 5 GW betreibt und über eine Entwicklungspipeline verfügt, die den 2,8 GW starken Offshore-Windpark Hornsea 3, den weltweit größten Einzel-Offshore-Windpark, und das Hornsea 4-Projekt umfasst, für das Mitte Juli die Genehmigung erteilt wurde.

Ørsted bleibt dem britischen Offshore-Windmarkt verpflichtet und wird weiterhin erhebliche Investitionen in die grüne Transformation des Landes sowohl an Land als auch auf See tätigen.“

Der Abschluss der Transaktion wird für Ende Juli erwartet. Der Gewinn aus der Transaktion wird Teil des „EBITDA aus neuen Partnerschaften“ sein.

Ørsted divests its remaining 25 % share of London Array to funds managed by Schroders Greencoat

Ørsted has signed an agreement with funds managed by Schroders Greencoat, a global specialist asset manager focusing on renewable energy infrastructure assets, to divest its remaining 25 % minority interest in the London Array Offshore Wind Farm in the UK. The total value of the transaction is GBP 717 million (DKK 6.17 billion).

London Array has a total installed capacity of 630 MW and entered commercial operation in 2013. Ørsted originally owned 50 % of the project and divested an initial 25 % of London Array to CDPQ in 2014. Ørsted does not have O&M responsibility at London Array, and as the company only holds a minority interest, Ørsted considers the asset non-strategic.

Ørsted remains the largest player in UK offshore wind, where the company operates more than 5 GW of capacity and has a development pipeline that includes the 2.8 GW Hornsea 3, the world’s single largest offshore wind farm, and the Hornsea 4 project which received consent in mid-July.

The transaction is expected to close at the end of July. The gain from the transaction will be part of ‘EBITDA from new partnerships’.
