Norwegische Reederei Siem Offshore baut die Hybridisierung ihrer Flotte weiter aus

(WK-intern) – Siem Offshore übernimmt eine aktive Rolle bei der Umstellung auf einen umweltfreundlicheren Betrieb, und im Einklang mit dem strategischen Fokus des Unternehmens, seinen ökologischen Fußabdruck proaktiv zu reduzieren, freuen wir uns, Ihnen mitteilen zu können, dass wir Verträge über drei weitere Batteriepakete unterzeichnet haben.

Für eines unserer OSCVs wurde bei VARD Electro AS ein Auftrag für ein Doppelbatteriesystem mit DC-Link erteilt, mit dem das Schiff 1 Stunde im vollelektrischen Modus betrieben werden kann und zusätzlich geschätzte Kraftstoffeinsparungen von mehr als 20 % erzielen. Die Installation erfolgt im Q1-2022.

Für unser Dual-Fuel-LNG-PSV Siem Thiima wurde bei Kongsberg Maritime AS ein Hybridbatteriepaket einschließlich Landstromanlagen bestellt. Die Installation erfolgt im Q1-2022.

Ähnlich wurde für das Dual-Fuel-LNG-PSV Siem Pride ein Auftrag für ein Hybridbatteriepaket an Wartsila Norway AS erteilt. Die Installation erfolgt im Q1-2022.

Daher werden nach der kürzlich abgeschlossenen Batterieinstallation an Bord von Siem Symphony alle unsere drei PSV-LNG-Schiffe in Kürze in der Lage sein, durch ihre unübertroffene High-End-Spezifikation und ihren Tribrid-Antrieb einen sicheren, effizienten und noch umweltfreundlicheren Betrieb zu gewährleisten erstellen.

Siem Offshore orders three new battery packages

Siem Offshore is taking an active role in the shift towards greener operations, and in line with the Company’s strategic focus to proactively reduce its environmental footprint, we are pleased to announce that we have signed contracts for an additional three battery packages.

For one of our OSCV’s an order has been placed with VARD Electro AS for a double battery system with DC-link allowing the vessel to operate for 1 hour in fully electric mode, in addition to provide estimated fuel savings in excess of 20%. Installation will take place in Q1-2022.

For our dual fuel LNG PSV Siem Thiima anorder has been placed with Kongsberg Maritime AS for a hybrid battery packageincluding shore power facilities. Installation will take place in Q1-2022.

Similar, for the dual fuel LNG PSV Siem Pride, an order for hybrid battery package has been placed with Wartsila Norway AS. Installation will take place in Q1-2022.

Hence, following the recently completed battery installation onboard Siem Symphony, all of our three PSV LNG-vessels will then shortly be able to deliver safe, efficient and even more environmentally friendly operations through their second-to-none high-end specification and tribrid propulsion setup.
