Deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2020, with commissioning planned for the same quarter. Customer’s name and project’s name are undisclosed under customer’s request. The order takes Vestas’ announced order intake in China to 750 MW in the first quarter of 2020. – Vestas secures 202 MW order along with a long-term service agreement in Sweden Vestas has secured a 202 MW order for a wind project in Sweden that will comprise 47 V150-4.2 MW turbines in 4.3 MW Power Optimised Mode together with a 27-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract, optimising the energy production for the lifetime of the project. “Leveraging the versatility of our 4 MW platform variants, the V150-4.2 MW is the perfect fit for the site’s wind conditions and will ensure maximum value for our customer’s business case”, states Juan Furones, Director Sales Sweden, Finland & Estonia, Vestas Northern & Central Europe. “This order once again underlines the V150-4.2 MW turbine’s competitiveness in the Nordic region, where it has now reached a firm order intake and installation track record of 1.4 GW”. The project will feature a VestasOnline® Business SCADA solution, lowering turbine downtime and thus optimising the energy output. The contract further includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a 27-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2022, while commissioning is planned for the third quarter of 2022. The customer and project are undisclosed. – Vestas secures 36 MW auction win in Poland Close collaboration with our customer ERG, one of the leading wind energy operators in Europe, has led to the order for 18 V100–2.0 MW turbines with a hub height of 110 meters for the Laszki project that will be located in the province of Podkarpackie. “We are proud to continue our valued partnership with ERG on the Laszki wind project and will utilise our strong service capabilities and extensive market experience in Poland to maximise our customer’s return on investment”, says Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe. “This order once again demonstrates that Vestas is a reliable partner in auctions, delivering competitive wind energy solutions”. Macquarie’s Green Investment Group places 80 MW order in Norway Macquarie’s Green Investment Group places 80 MW order in Norway Vestas has secured an order from Green Investment Group Limited, a specialist developer, sponsor and investor and part of the Macquarie Group for the 79.8 MW wind project in Norway. Vestas has developed a customised solution for the project with 19 V150-4.2 MW turbines that combines Vestas’ largest rotor in Norway with a 25-year Active Output Management (AOM 5000) service agreement and the Vestas Anti-Icing System, which efficiently minimises ice formation on blades. Being an optimised fit for the site’s wind and climate conditions, the solution will maximise the projects’s power production. Green Investment Group Limited has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) which will provide revenue certainty for the project and deliver power to local industry. Two Nordic companies have also been selected to complete the main civil and overhead lines works, including Risa AS. Risa has been chosen to carry out all groundwork on the project.
