Der Produzent erneuerbarer Energien African Clean Energy Developments (ACED) hat einen 144-MW-Auftrag für den Windpark Khangela Emoyeni im südafrikanischen Westkap erteilt.

(WK-intern) – Der Vertrag umfasst die Lieferung und Installation von 32 V163-4,5-MW-Windturbinen sowie einen 10-jährigen Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000)-Servicevertrag.

Dies ist ACEDs zweiter Auftrag für V163-4,5-MW-Windturbinen im Jahr 2024. Im Juni erteilte das Unternehmen einen 144-MW-Auftrag für den Windpark Umsinde Emoyeni, der ebenfalls im südafrikanischen Westkap liegt.

Wir freuen uns sehr, eine weitere Bestellung bei Vestas aufzugeben, im Dienste unseres Abnehmers Rio Tinto, unserer Aktionäre und der Gemeinden rund um unser Projekt.“

Die Turbinenlieferung wird für die erste Hälfte des Jahres 2025 erwartet und die Inbetriebnahme ist für die erste Hälfte des Jahres 2026 geplant.

Vestas ist einer der führenden Anbieter auf dem südafrikanischen Windenergiemarkt mit über 1,5 GW installierter oder im Bau befindlicher Kapazität.

Vestas wins 144 MW order in South Africa

Renewable energy producer African Clean Energy Developments (ACED) has placed a 144 MW order for the Khangela Emoyeni wind farm, to be located in Western Cape, South Africa. The contract includes the supply and installation of 32 V163-4.5 MW wind turbines, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

This is ACED’s second order for V163-4.5 MW wind turbines in 2024. In June, they placed a 144 MW order for the Umsinde Emoyeni wind farm, also located in Western Cape, South Africa.

Sam Cook, ACED’s Project Manager for procurement and construction, highlights, “ACED and African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM) have a relationship with Vestas which goes back to the beginning of the wind energy industry in South Africa, in 2011. We are very pleased to be placing yet another order with Vestas, in service of our offtaker Rio Tinto, our shareholders and the communities around our project.”

Turbine delivery is expected by the first half of 2025 and commissioning is planned for the first half of 2026.
