Oslo, Norwegen – Glamox AS (GLX), eines der weltweit führenden Beleuchtungsunternehmen, hat Verträge über die Bereitstellung seiner Schiffsbeleuchtung für vier Inbetriebnahme- und Servicebetriebsschiffe für Windkraftanlagen für die Fleet AS von Integrated Wind Solutions (IWS) bekannt gegeben und zwei Installationsschiffe für Windkraftanlagen für Cadeler A/S aus Dänemark.

(WK-intern) – Diese jüngsten Aufträge unterstreichen das spektakuläre Wachstum des Marktes für Offshore-Windparks und die Spezialschiffe, die zu deren Bau und Unterstützung benötigt werden.

Bis 2030 werden schätzungsweise 230 Offshore-Windparks für europäische Gewässer prognostiziert.

IWS Fleet AS, eine Tochtergesellschaft von Integrated Wind Solutions ASA, stellt eine Flotte äußerst nachhaltiger Schiffe für die Offshore-Windindustrie bereit. Glamox wird Navigations- und Signallichter, Suchscheinwerfer und energieeffiziente LED-Beleuchtung für zunächst vier Dienstbetriebsschiffe (CSOV) liefern. Die Gesamtzahl der Lichtpunkte pro Schiff beträgt etwa 2.500. Diese emissionsfreien, äußerst nachhaltigen Schiffe werden sich auf die Unterstützung des Baus von Windparks spezialisieren und sind mit Kränen und Laufstegen für den sicheren Zugang zu Offshore-Strukturen ausgestattet. Die Schiffe werden auch den Betrieb und die Wartungsarbeiten während der Lebensdauer des Windparks unterstützen. Das erste neue Schiff der „Skywalker-Klasse“ wird bei der Entwicklung von „Dogger Bank“, dem größten Offshore-Windpark der Welt, eingesetzt.

Glamox wird Cadeler A/S mit Suchscheinwerfern, Flutlichtern, Notbeleuchtung und einer Vielzahl von energieeffizienten LED-Linear- und Downlights für zwei neue, hochmoderne Installationsschiffe für Windkraftanlagen (WTIV) ausstatten. Die Gesamtzahl der Lichtpunkte pro Schiff beträgt rund 2.300. Die Schiffe der „X-Klasse“, die 2024 und 2025 in Betrieb gehen sollen, haben jeweils eine Decksfläche von 5.600 m2, eine Nutzlast von über 17.600 Tonnen und eine Hauptkrankapazität von über 2.000 Tonnen auf 53 Metern. Die beiden neuen cybersicheren Schiffe können sieben komplette 15-MW-Turbinensätze pro Ladung oder fünf Sätze von 20+ MW-Turbinen transportieren und installieren. Jeder bietet Platz für 130 Personen.

Glamox benefits from growth in offshore windfarms with two major contracts to light construction and support vessels

Oslo, Norway – Glamox AS (GLX), one of the world’s leading lighting companies, has announced contracts to provide its marine lighting for four wind turbine commissioning and service operation vessels for Integrated Wind Solutions (IWS) Fleet AS of Norway, and two wind turbine installation vessels for Cadeler A/S of Denmark. These latest orders underline the spectacular growth in the market for offshore windfarms and the specialist ships needed to construct and support them. An estimated 230 windfarms are forecast for European waters by 2030.

IWS Fleet AS, a subsidiary of Integrated Wind Solutions ASA, is providing a fleet of highly sustainable vessels for the offshore wind industry. Glamox will provide navigation and signal lights, search lights, and energy efficient LED lighting for an initial four commissioning service operation vessels (CSOV). The total number of light points per vessel is around 2,500. These zero-emission, highly sustainable vessels will specialise in supporting the construction of windfarms and are equipped with cranes and ‘walk-to-work’ gangways for safe access to offshore structures. The vessels will also support operations and maintenance activities during the life of the windfarm. The first new ‘Skywalker Class’ vessel will be used in the development of ‘Dogger Bank’, the world’s largest offshore wind farm.

Glamox will provide Cadeler A/S with search lights, floodlights, emergency lighting and a variety of energy efficient LED linear and downlights for two new state-of-the-art wind turbine installation vessels (WTIV). The total number of light points per vessel is around 2,300. Due to be operational in 2024 and 2025, the ‘X-class’ vessels each have a deck space of 5,600m2, a payload of over 17,600 tonnes, and main crane capacity of above 2,000 tonnes at 53 meters. The two new cyber-secure vessels will be able to transport and install seven complete 15MW turbine sets per load or five sets of 20+MW turbines. Each can accommodate 130 people.
