Der erste Katamaran der MODX 70-Serie wird an diesem Wochenende nach Lorient aufbrechen, um dort seine Aeroforce-Segel zu integrieren und die „Seeerprobungsphase“ zu beginnen.

Diese neue Etappe stellt einen bedeutenden Schritt nach vorne für MODX Catamarans und seine Mission dar, den Yachtsport zu revolutionieren, indem wichtige technologische Innovationen mit einem starken Engagement für die vollständige Dekarbonisierung des Yachtsports kombiniert werden.

Optimierung des MODX 70 #01 in der Bretagne

Dieser einzigartige Katamaran kann nun seine Entwicklung und die Inbetriebnahme aller Antriebssysteme (kombinierter Aeroforce-Flügel und 100 % Elektromotor mit Hydrogeneration mit variabler Steigung) fortsetzen.

Die Aeroforce-Technologie ermöglicht es, diesen revolutionären Flügel zu 100 % einziehbar und automatisiert zu machen, während gleichzeitig die Leistung erheblich gesteigert und die ökologische Belastung reduziert wird. Diese Test- und Optimierungsphase soll bis Ende 2024 in der Bretagne stattfinden.

Cannes Yachting Festival

Aufgrund der laufenden Testkampagne in Lorient in der Nähe seines „Forschungs- und Entwicklungsstandorts“ können die Besucher des Cannes Yachting Festivals den MODX-Katamaran dieses Jahr nicht auf dem Festival sehen. Das Team von MODX Catamarans wird jedoch anwesend sein.

FOR ITS BASE IN LORIENT TO INTEGRATE THE AEROFORCE WINGS

The first catamaran in the MODX 70 series will be heading for Lorient this weekend for the integration of its Aeroforce wings and the start of the „sea trial“ phase. This new stage marks a significant step forward for MODX Catamarans and its mission to revolutionise yachting by combining major technological innovations with a strong commitment to the total decarbonisation of yachting.

Optimization of the MODX 70 #01 in Brittany

This one-of-a-kind catamaran will now be able to continue its development and the commissioning of all the propulsion systems (combined Aeroforce wing and 100% electric motor with variable pitch hydrogeneration).

The Aeroforce technology enables this revolutionary wing to be 100% retractable and automated, while considerably increasing performance and reducing its ecological impact. This test and optimisation phase is due to take place in Brittany until the end of 2024.

Cannes Yachting Festival

Due to its ongoing test campaign in Lorient near its „research and development“ base, visitors of the Cannes Yachting festival won’t be able to see the MODX Catamaran at the festival this year. However, the MODX Catamarans team will be present.
