The customer and project are undisclosed.

Vestas secures 50 MW order and surpasses 1 GW order intake in Portugal

Vestas has signed a 50 MW contract for the repowering of four wind parks to be located in the north of Portugal. The contract includes the supply and installation of eleven V150-4.5 MW wind turbines, as well as a 15-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

With these projects, Vestas reaches the milestone of 1 GW order intake for wind energy projects in Portugal. The company also provides service to almost 1 GW of wind turbines in the country, both from Vestas and other brands.

“With these projects, we reach two great milestones in Portugal, as they are the first with our V150-4.5 MW technology and they led us to reach the landmark of 1 GW of orders in the country. We are proud to see how our 4 MW platform continues to answer our customer’s needs optimising its business case while contributing enormously to the Portuguese sustainable development”, says Agustín Sánchez Tembleque, Vestas General Manager for Spain and Portugal.

Turbine delivery is expected by the fourth quarter of 2022 whilst commissioning is planned between the second and third quarters of 2023.

Vestas secures 31 MW order in France

Renewable energy producer H2Air has placed a 31 MW order for several projects in Hauts-de-France and in Centre-Val de Loire. The order consists of two V126-3.45 MW, two V112-3.45 MW, one V117-4.2 MW, and three V136-4.2 MW wind turbines. Some of the wind turbines will be delivered in various power modes optimised for the local wind conditions, thus demonstrating how Vestas’ 4 MW platform can cover all wind segments, enabling our customers to find the best turbines for each specific site.

The contract also includes a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

Roy Mahfouz, CEO of H2air, says: “Vestas offers a wide range of turbines that suit our growing tailor-made project pipeline. It is essential to optimise the production and to get every green kWh. These are the fruits of many years of development, a sharp know how and trustful partnership with all project stakeholders. This is a part of our contribution for a peaceful and sustainable world”.

Vestas France Country Manager, Hugues Faivre, says: “We are very proud to continue our collaboration with H2Air. We expect that the versatility and reliability of our 4 MW platform will enable H2Air to optimise the energy output of their wind park once again”.

Turbine delivery and commissioning are planned for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Since installing its first wind turbine in France in 1991, Vestas has led the country’s wind industry with 6.4 GW of installed wind capacity, positioning Vestas as the main contributor to the expansion of wind energy in France with a 32 percent cumulative market share.

Vestas secures a new 54 MW order in India

Vestas has secured a 54 MW order to power a renewable energy project in Maharashtra, India. The customer and project details are undisclosed. The agreement comprises of supply and installation of 15 V155-3.6 MW wind turbines. For Vestas, this marks the first order for the V155-3.6 MW wind turbine variant in India, one of the most powerful wind turbines available in India.

Deliveries of the turbines are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2022, while commissioning is expected to begin in the last quarter of 2022.

The project and customer names are undisclosed.

Vestas partners with A2A to build a 30 MW wind park in Sicily

A2A, through its subsidiary r2r, has signed an agreement with Vestas for the supply and installation of three V136-4.2 MW wind turbines in 4.0 MW operating mode and five V136-3.45 MW turbines delivered in 3.6 MW power optimised mode for the Matarocco greenfield wind park in Sicily.

The contract also includes an Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 agreement with Vestas for the maintenance and service of the wind park over the next 10 years.

The project will increase A2A’s installed wind power capacity in the country and add to Vestas’ more than 4.7 GW of wind capacity under construction or installed in Italy.

„The partnership with Vestas confirms the Group’s desire to grow in renewables, in line with the strategy outlined in our 2021-2030 industrial plan.
