Die Botschaft des Königreichs der Niederlande in Japan hat zusammen mit der Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) BLIX beauftragt, eine schwimmende Offshore-Windmarktstudie in Japan durchzuführen.

(WK-intern) – Ziel ist es, die Offshore-Windkooperationen zwischen den Niederlanden und Japan zu stärken und ein besseres Verständnis des schwimmenden Offshore-Windmarktes in Japan zu erlangen.

BLIX wird die Marktstudie im Laufe der kommenden Monate durchführen, danach wird ein Seminar organisiert, um die Ergebnisse Unternehmen und Organisationen mit Sitz in den Niederlanden vorzustellen.

Japan hat ein ehrgeiziges Offshore-Windziel von 30-45 GW installierter Kapazität bis 2040, das benötigt wird, um sein Dekarbonisierungsziel bis 2050 zu erreichen Nachfrage nach praktischen schwimmenden Offshore-Wind-Lieferkettenlösungen für tieferes Wasser weiter vom Ufer entfernt. Der starke Offshore-Windsektor in den Niederlanden könnte solche schwimmenden Windlösungen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit japanischen Lieferkettenpartnern liefern.

BLIX to perform a floating offshore wind market study in Japan

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Japan, together with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has commissioned BLIX to perform a floating offshore wind market study in Japan. The goal is to strengthen offshore wind collaborations between the Netherlands and Japan, and to obtain a better understanding of the floating offshore wind market in Japan.

BLIX will perform the market study over the course of the coming months, after which a seminar will be organised to present the results to companies and organisations based in the Netherlands.

Japan has an ambitious offshore wind target 30-45 GW installed capacity by 2040, which is needed to meet its decarbonisation target by 2050. Because Japan has limited shallow-water sites where bottom-fixed offshore wind turbines can be installed, there is a strong demand for practical floating offshore wind supply chain solutions for deep water further from shore. The strong offshore wind sector in the Netherlands could deliver such floating wind solutions in close cooperation with Japanese supply chain parties.

Floating offshore wind will be a very important part of the Renewable Energy base in Japan and there are quite a few solutions that likely fit well in the strategy of the Japanese government, but it is of utmost importance that there is a good general understanding of how the Japanese market functions and what the dos and don’ts are while entering this market.”
