Nominierungen für die Gustave Trouvé Awards 2025 für herausragende Leistungen im Bereich Elektroboote und -bootfahren sind ab sofort möglich

(WK-intern) – Nominierungen für die sechsten jährlichen Gustave Trouvé Awards für herausragende Leistungen im Bereich Elektroboote und -bootfahren (The Gussies) sind ab sofort möglich.

Die weltweit einzige internationale Auszeichnung würdigt Leistungen und Innovationen im Bereich Elektroboote und -bootfahren. In diesem Jahr gibt es eine neue Kategorie für elektrische Wassermotorräder (PWC), E-Boards und Wasserspielzeug.

Nominierungen sind ab sofort bis zum 19. Oktober 2025 möglich. Anschließend werden die Finalisten bekannt gegeben und es findet eine öffentliche Abstimmung statt. Die Gewinner werden im November während der METSTRADE in Amsterdam, Niederlande, bekannt gegeben.

Die Gussies sind nach Gustave Trouvé, dem französischen Erfinder des ersten Elektrofahrzeugs und des ersten Außenbordmotors, benannt und würdigen Erfinder, Designer, Hersteller, Unternehmer und Visionäre, die den Übergang zu sauberen, leisen und emissionsfreien Schiffsantrieben vorantreiben. Seit ihrer Einführung im Jahr 2020 haben sich die Awards zu einer wahrhaft globalen Plattform entwickelt. Im Jahr 2024 wurden mehr als 160 Boote aus über 25 Ländern nominiert, und 34 Gewinner aus 21 Nationen konnten sich rühmen.

Die Gussies würdigen herausragende Leistungen im gesamten Spektrum elektrischer Boote und Schiffe – von Hochleistungs-Runabouts über Tragflügelboote, solarbetriebene Dayboats bis hin zu hochseetauglichen Segelyachten und vielem mehr.

Die Gussies 2025 werden mit Unterstützung zweier führender Unternehmen der Elektrifizierung verliehen: EPTechnologies ist ein Komplettanbieter von Schiffsantrieben für Elektro- und Hybridschiffe – von kleinen Booten bis hin zu Luxus-Superyachten. • Gewerbliche Elektroboote für Passagiere – in Betrieb und in Entwicklung

Boote müssen über einen Elektroantrieb als Hauptantrieb verfügen. Hybride sind nur zulässig, wenn eine vollelektrische Version zum Verkauf angeboten wird. Frühere Gussies-Gewinner sind nicht berechtigt, in derselben Kategorie erneut anzutreten.

Die Finalisten werden von einer internationalen Jury ausgewählt, die sich aus 12 Vertretern von Elektrobootverbänden, Branchenorganisationen und den 35 bisherigen Gussies-Gewinnern zusammensetzt. Die Gewinner werden durch eine gewichtete Abstimmung ermittelt: 75 % Jury, 25 % Öffentlichkeit.

Nominations Open for the 2025 Gustave Trouvé Awards for Excellence in Electric Boats and Boating

Nominations are now open for the sixth annual Gustave Trouvé Awards for Excellence in Electric Boats and Boating (The Gussies), the world’s only international awards devoted to recognizing achievement and innovation in electric boats and boating. This year’s awards will feature a new category for Electric Personal Watercraft (PWC), e-Boards, and Water Toys.

Nominations are open now through October 19, 2025, followed by the announcement of finalists and a public voting period. Winners will be announced in November during METSTRADE in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Named in honor of Gustave Trouvé, the French inventor of the first electric vehicle and first outboard motor, The Gussies celebrate the inventors, designers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who are driving the shift to clean, quiet, zero-emission marine propulsion. Since their launch in 2020, the Awards have grown into a truly global platform, with more than 160 boats nominated from over 25 countries in 2024 and 34 winners representing 21 nations.

The Gussies honors excellence within the entire spectrum of electric boats and vessels, from high-performance runabouts to hydrofoiling water taxis, solar-powered dayboats, ocean-going sailing yachts, and more.

Boats must have electric propulsion as their main drive system. Hybrids qualify only if a full-electric version is offered for sale. Past Gussies winners are not eligible to enter the same category again.

Finalists are selected by an International Judging Panel made up of 12 representatives from electric boat associations, industry organizations, and the 35 past Gussies winners. Winners are chosen through a weighted vote: 75% jury, 25% public.

How to Nominate
