Cadeler unterzeichnet feste Verträge mit ScottishPower Renewables für den Transport und die Installation von Fundamenten und Turbinen für East Anglia TWO

(WK-intern) – Kopenhagen – Cadeler A/S gibt heute die Unterzeichnung fester Verträge für den Transport und die Installation von 64 x 15 MW Offshore-Windturbinengeneratoren („WTGs“) sowie den Fundamenten für den Offshore-Windpark East Anglia TWO bekannt, der von ScottishPower Renewables (einem Mitglied der Iberdrola-Gruppe) vor der Küste Großbritanniens entwickelt wird.

Der Gesamtwert dieser Verträge für Cadeler wird auf 360 – 382 Millionen Euro geschätzt. Die Offshore-Arbeiten sollen 2027 beginnen und werden auf einem der neu gebauten A-Klasse-Schiffe von Cadeler durchgeführt.

Im September 2024 gab die britische Regierung die Ergebnisse ihrer jüngsten Auktion zur Vergabe von Aufträgen bekannt, die für den Bau neuer Offshore-Windparks von entscheidender Bedeutung sind. Zu den Aufträgen gehörten 960 MW Leistung für den 4 Milliarden Pfund teuren Offshore-Windpark East Anglia TWO von ScottishPower Renewables. East Anglia TWO wird im südlichen Teil der Nordsee vor der Ostküste Englands liegen und voraussichtlich 64 Turbinen mit je 15 MW Leistung umfassen, mit einer Kapazität, die fast eine Million Haushalte pro Jahr mit Strom versorgt.

Starke Position im Fundamentbereich

Cadeler wird für den Transport und die Installation der Fundamente und der Windturbinen für East Anglia TWO verantwortlich sein. Für das Projekt wird eines der A-Klasse-Neubauschiffe von Cadeler zusammen mit einem O-Klasse-Schiff aus der bestehenden Flotte von Cadeler eingesetzt. Diese Kombination zeigt die Flexibilität der Flotte von Cadeler und seine Fähigkeit, Effizienz und Synergien über Schiffsklassen hinweg zu maximieren.

Cadelers Partnerschaft mit ScottishPower Renewables bei East Anglia TWO, die heute angekündigt wurde, spiegelt die Ausführung fester Verträge für einen Teil der Arbeiten wider, die in einer Reservierungsvereinbarung vorgesehen sind, die Cadeler im Mai 2024 bekannt gab.

Ermutigende Auktionsrunde

Die Offshore-Installationsarbeiten für East Anglia TWO sollen 2027 beginnen, und wenn sie abgeschlossen sind, hat der Windpark das Potenzial, einen wesentlichen Beitrag zu den sauberen Energiezielen der britischen Regierung für 2030 zu leisten.

Cadeler signs firm contracts with ScottishPower Renewables for East Anglia TWO foundation and turbine transportation and installation

Copenhagen — Cadeler A/S today announces the signing of firm contracts for the transportation and installation of 64 x 15MW offshore wind turbine generators (“WTGs”) as well as the foundations for the East Anglia TWO Offshore Wind Farm, being developed by ScottishPower Renewables (a member of the Iberdrola Group) off the coast of the UK. The aggregate value of these contracts to Cadeler is projected to fall within the range of EUR 360 – 382 million. The offshore works are set to commence in 2027 and will see the use of one of Cadeler’s newbuild A-class vessels.

In September 2024, the UK government announced the results of its latest auction for the award of contracts critical to the outbuild of new offshore wind farms. The awards included 960MW capacity allocated to ScottishPower Renewables’ £4 billion East Anglia TWO Offshore Wind Farm. East Anglia TWO will be located in the southern region of the North Sea, off the East Coast of England, and is expected to feature 64 x 15MW turbines, with the capacity to power the equivalent of almost one million homes each year.

Strong position in the foundations space

Cadeler will be responsible for the transportation and installation of both the foundations and the WTGs for East Anglia TWO. The project will see the use of one of Cadeler’s A-class newbuild vessels, together with an O-class vessel from Cadeler’s existing fleet. This combination demonstrates Cadeler’s fleet flexibility and its ability to maximize efficiency and synergies across vessel classes.

Cadeler’s partnership with ScottishPower Renewables on East Anglia TWO, announced today, reflects the execution of firm contracts for a portion of the work contemplated by a reservation agreement Cadeler disclosed in May 2024.

Encouraging auction round

The offshore installation work for East Anglia TWO is set to commence in 2027 and, when finalised, the wind farm has the potential to make a substantial contribution to the UK government’s 2030 clean energy targets.
