Valencia steht im Mittelpunkt der Iberdrola-Auszeichnung „Lieferant des Jahres“

(WK-intern) – Mit diesen Auszeichnungen erkennt Iberdrola die Bedeutung der Schaffung eines Ökosystems von Lieferanten an, die auf dieselben Ziele hinarbeiten.

Galán hebt die Zusammenarbeit von Technikern aus ganz Spanien von Anfang an hervor.

Die Auszeichnung „Lieferant des Jahres“ 2024 soll die spanische Technologie hervorheben und ihre führende internationale Position betonen.
Jedes Jahr kauft das Energieunternehmen mehr als 2.600 Millionen Euro von seinen spanischen Lieferanten.
Iberdrola hat heute seine Auszeichnung „Lieferant des Jahres in Spanien 2024“ verliehen, eine Anerkennung, die die Arbeit spanischer Unternehmen würdigen und ihre kollaborative Rolle bei der Umsetzung der strategischen Projekte von Iberdrola in den Gebieten, in denen das Unternehmen präsent ist, hervorheben soll. In dieser Ausgabe, in der Valencia die Hauptrolle spielte, gingen die Auszeichnungen an neun Partnerunternehmen, die sich durch ihr Engagement für das Unternehmen auszeichnen.

Mit diesen Auszeichnungen erkennt Iberdrola die Bedeutung der Schaffung eines Ökosystems von Lieferanten an, die auf dieselben Ziele hinarbeiten. Alle ausgezeichneten Unternehmen teilen Werte wie Sicherheit, Innovation, Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen, Vielfalt, Digitalisierung und Nachhaltigkeit. Sie arbeiten auch mit Iberdrola bei seiner Strategie für eine dekarbonisierte Wirtschaft zusammen, die auf seinen Investitionen in erneuerbare Energien und zunehmend intelligente Verteilnetze, groß angelegten Speicherprojekten und seinem Engagement für innovative Lösungen für seine Kunden basiert.

Die Verleihung dieser Auszeichnungen, die heute Nachmittag im Iberdrola Tower in Bilbao stattfand, wurde von Ignacio Galán, Executive Chairman von Iberdrola, geleitet, begleitet vom CEO von Iberdrola Spanien, Mario Ruiz-Tagle, und dem Global Director of People and Services und Iberdrolas institutionellem Delegierten im Baskenland, Asís Canales. An der Veranstaltung nahmen auch zahlreiche Vertreter der Zulieferunternehmen teil, mit denen Iberdrola in Spanien zusammenarbeitet.

Ignacio Galán übermittelte zunächst den von der Tragödie der letzten Woche in Valencia betroffenen Unternehmen seine Unterstützung und die der Familie Iberdrola. „Techniker aus ganz Spanien, aus dem Baskenland, Extremadura, Madrid, Kastilien und León, La Rioja, Kastilien-La Mancha … Mehr als 500 Menschen machten sich vom ersten Moment an an die Arbeit. Dank unserer Lieferanten und unserer Teams ist es uns gelungen, vielen Betroffenen in Rekordzeit Licht zu geben“, sagte er.

Im Jahr 2023 tätigte Iberdrola Einkäufe im Zusammenhang mit Ausrüstung, Materialien, Arbeiten und Dienstleistungen im Wert von mehr als 2.602 Millionen Euro bei mehr als 4.500 Lieferanten in Spanien. In Spanien wurden 91 % dieser Einkäufe bei lokalen Lieferanten getätigt, viele davon KMU, ein Prozentsatz, der über dem weltweiten Durchschnitt der Gruppe liegt.

In den ersten 10 Monaten des Jahres 2024 belief sich dieses den Lieferanten in Spanien in Rechnung gestellte Volumen auf fast 1.950 Millionen Euro, Zahlen, die das Engagement des Unternehmens für die Entwicklung lokaler Lieferanten und die Schaffung indirekter Arbeitsplätze unterstreichen.

Laut dem Ausblick 2024-2026 werden die Investitionen in drei Jahren 41 Milliarden Euro übersteigen. In diesem Zeitraum werden rund 30.000 Neueinstellungen vorgenommen, wodurch die nachhaltige Beschäftigung bei den Lieferanten auf über 500.000 Arbeitsplätze weltweit steigen wird. Davon werden mehr als 125.000 in Spanien sein.

Die Iberdrola Supplier of the Year Awards 2024 in Spanien bestehen aus neun Kategorien, die Unternehmen für ihren Fokus auf Innovation, Digitalisierung und den Einsatz neuer Technologien, Vielfalt, Gleichberechtigung und Inklusion, für ihre Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen und Arbeitsintegration, für ihre Nachhaltigkeit und ihren Beitrag zu den SDGs, für ihre führende Rolle bei der Energiewende und für ihre Servicequalität auszeichnen.

Neun preisgekrönte Unternehmen
Der Preis in der Kategorie Gerätehersteller ging an Power Electronics aus Valencia. Dieser Lieferant zeichnet sich durch die hohe Zuverlässigkeit seiner Geräte, seine kurzen Lieferzeiten und seinen hervorragenden Kundendienst aus. Seine Führungsposition bei Solarwechselrichtern für Photovoltaikanlagen und Energiespeicher erstreckt sich auch auf seine ultraschnellen Ladestationen für Elektrofahrzeuge, ein Segment, in dem es eine Vereinbarung mit der Allianz Iberdrola | bp pulse hat.

Das preisgekrönte Unternehmen in der Kategorie Bau und technische Dienste war Tecinsa aus Salamanca für seine umfassenden technischen Fähigkeiten, die Qualität bei der Ausführung seiner Arbeiten, die strikte Einhaltung von Lieferfristen und sein Engagement für Sicherheit und Umwelt. Im Jahr 2010 wurde es auch von Iberdrola bei der 9. Ausgabe des Lieferantenpreises in der Kategorie KMU mit dem besten Service ausgezeichnet.

Valencia takes centre stage at Iberdrola’s Supplier of the Year Awards

Iberdrola today presented its Supplier of the Year Awards in Spain 2024, a recognition that seeks to praise the work of Spanish companies and emphasise their collaborative role in achieving Iberdrola’s strategic projects in those territories in which it is present. In this edition, in which Valencia was the protagonist, the awards went to nine partner companies that stand out for their commitment to the company.

With these awards, Iberdrola recognises the importance of creating an ecosystem of suppliers working towards the same goals. All the companies recognised share values such as safety, innovation, job creation, diversity, digitalisation and sustainability. They also collaborate with Iberdrola in its strategy towards a decarbonised economy, based on its investments in renewables and increasingly smart distribution grids, large-scale storage projects and its commitment to innovative solutions for its customers.

The presentation of these awards, held this afternoon at the Iberdrola Tower in Bilbao, was presided over by Ignacio Galán, Executive Chairman of Iberdrola, accompanied by the CEO of Iberdrola Spain, Mario Ruiz-Tagle, and the Global Director of People and Services and Iberdrola’s Institutional Delegate in the Basque Country, Asís Canales. The event was also attended by numerous representatives of the supplier companies with which Iberdrola collaborates in Spain.

Ignacio Galán began by conveying his support and that of the Iberdrola family to the companies affected by last week’s tragedy in Valencia. „Technicians from all over Spain, from the Basque Country, Extremadura, Madrid, Castilla y León, La Rioja, Castilla La Mancha…. More than 500 people got to work from the very first moment. Thanks to our suppliers and our teams, we have managed to give light to many people affected in record time,“ he said.

In 2023, Iberdrola made purchases related to equipment, materials, works and services for more than 2,602 million euros from more than 4,500 suppliers in Spain. In Spain, 91% of these purchases were made from local suppliers, many of them SMEs, a percentage that exceeds the group’s average worldwide.

During the first 10 months of 2024, this volume invoiced to suppliers in Spain amounted to nearly 1,950 million euros, figures that reinforce the company’s commitment to the development of local suppliers and the creation of indirect jobs.

According to the 2024-2026 outlook, investments will exceed 41 billion euros in three years. In that period, around 30,000 new hires will be made, which will increase sustained employment in suppliers to over 500,000 jobs worldwide. Of this figure, more than 125,000 will be in Spain.

The Iberdrola Supplier of the Year Awards 2024 in Spain consist of nine categories, which recognise companies for their focus on innovation, digitisation and their use of new technologies, diversity, equality and inclusion, for their generation of employment and labour integration, for their sustainability and contribution to the SDGs, for their leading role in the energy transition, and for their quality of service.

Nine award-winning companies
The award in the Equipment Manufacturer category went to Valencia-based Power Electronics. This supplier stands out for the high reliability of its equipment, its short delivery times and its excellent after-sales service. Its leadership in solar inverters for photovoltaic plants and energy storage also extends to its ultra-fast charging points for electric vehicles, a segment in which it has an agreement with the Iberdrola | bp pulse alliance.

The award-winning company in the Works and Technical Services category was Tecinsa from Salamanca for its extensive technical capabilities, quality in the execution of its work, strict compliance with delivery deadlines and its commitment to safety and the environment. In 2010, it was also recognised by Iberdrola in the 9th edition of the Supplier Award, in the best service SME category.

The Energy Transition award went to BCare from Vitoria-Gasteiz, a start-up generated at CIC Energigune, the Basque Government’s energy storage research centre, for its innovative proposal and its commitment to all the projects with which it collaborates. Specifically, they supply new lithium batteries (LFP, lithium-iron-phosphate) for transformer substations and i-DE grid cut-off devices.

In the Employment generation and labour integration category, Iberdrola recognised the Spanish subsidiary of the French group Eiffage, whose headquarters are located in Albacete, for being the company that has offered the most internships and employment in the Iberdrola – Unicef alliance, which offers training, internships and employment related to the energy transition to vulnerable young people. It should be noted that Eiffage was awarded Best Supplier of the Year in the 2019 edition.

In the category of Sustainability and SDG contribution, Faramax from Cáceres was recognised for its creation of value in Extremadura. Its production area and manufacturing capacity has more than doubled in the last four years, creating direct and indirect employment and promoting technical training in Extremadura and Castilla y León through agreements with universities, vocational training centres and chambers of commerce. It also participates in social initiatives such as the regrouping of Ukrainian families. It is worth highlighting the efforts made in recent years. If in 2021 it was not sustainable, after carrying out an improvement plan it now has a score of 69 points.

In the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion category, Iberdrola has awarded the A Coruña-based company Mecanizados Acebrón for its integration of women at the highest levels of executive responsibilities. Its CEO, Rebeca Acebrón, is also vice-president of Asime (Association of Metal Industries and Associated Technologies of Galicia). The company is a regular supplier to Iberdrola of very special large steel parts, such as gates, cofferdams, pipes, supports, among others, for hydraulic installations. It also stands out for rigorously complying with the required deadlines and for carrying out a great deal of work in support of the ecological transition in many public forums and business associations in Galicia.

In the Innovation, digitalisation and new technologies category, the winner was Innomerics from Madrid. This SME develops software and instrumentation and specialised engineering services. Its innovative technologies include digital twins for green hydrogen, heat networks and hydraulic pumping.

In the category of Ethics and Compliance, Iberdrola has awarded the Biscayan company Idom. The company has shown great progress in recent years in terms of ethics and compliance. In fact, it has achieved certification in the area of competence.

Finally, the Best Supplier of the Year Award went to Ametel. The Special 2024 Award went to the Sevillian company for its commitment, flexibility and predisposition to the joint search for solutions. Ametel maintains a high commitment to health and safety and plays a key role in the completion of the works in which it collaborates, as is the case of the Plan Madrid Agreement, including the dismantling of complex lines in the Casa de Campo and A-5. In addition, it always demonstrates a high level of availability of resources and an unbeatable and proactive attitude.
