Vestas hat von Cordelio Power einen 171-MW-Auftrag zur Stromversorgung des Windprojekts Moraine Sands in Illinois, USA, erhalten.

(WK-intern) – Der Auftrag umfasst 38 V150-4,5-MW-Turbinen.

Dieses Projekt ist eine Erweiterung des 185-MW-Windparks Glacier Sands, der im November 2021 in Betrieb genommen wurde und aus 43 V150-4,2-MW-Turbinen besteht, die im 4,3-Betriebsmodus geliefert werden.

„Ausgehend von der erfolgreichen Inbetriebnahme und dem erfolgreichen Betrieb des Windparks Glacier Sands freut sich Vestas, beim Windprojekt Moraine Sands erneut mit Cordelio zusammenzuarbeiten, um gemeinsam den Fußabdruck erneuerbarer Energien in Illinois zu erweitern“, sagte Laura Beane, Präsidentin von Vestas North America.

Der Auftrag umfasst die Lieferung und Inbetriebnahme der Turbinen sowie einen 20-jährigen Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000)-Servicevertrag, der darauf ausgelegt ist, eine optimierte Leistung der Anlage sicherzustellen.

Die Turbinenlieferung beginnt im vierten Quartal 2022.

Vestas secures 171 MW order from Cordelio Power in the USA

Vestas has received a 171 MW order from Cordelio Power to power the Moraine Sands wind project in Illinois, USA. The order consists of 38 V150-4.5 MW turbines. This project is an expansion of the 185 MW Glacier Sands wind farm, commissioned in November 2021, which consists of 43 V150-4.2 MW turbines delivered in 4.3 operating mode.

“Building off the successful commissioning and operations of the Glacier Sands wind farm, Vestas is thrilled to partner once again with Cordelio on the Moraine Sands wind project to collaboratively expand Illinois’ renewable energy footprint,” said Laura Beane, President of Vestas North America.

The order includes supply and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset.

Turbine delivery begins in the fourth quarter of 2022.
