Colorado-Entwickler unternimmt ersten Schritt im Rahmen wachstumsfördernder Kapitalrecyclingbemühungen

(WK-intern) – BOULDER, Colorado – Scout Clean Energy (Scout), ein führender Entwickler, Eigentümer und Betreiber erneuerbarer Energien, gab heute den Abschluss einer Back-Leverage-Finanzierungstransaktion für den 130-MW-Windpark Bitter Ridge des Unternehmens in Jay County, Indiana, bekannt.

Das Projekt ist seit 2020 in Betrieb.

Der Deal markiert den ersten Schritt in der Kapitalrecyclingstrategie von Scout, die darauf abzielt, Kapital für die Betriebsprojekte des Unternehmens freizusetzen, um mehrere neue Projekte in der 19-GW-Wind-, Solar- und Speicherpipeline von Scout in den Vereinigten Staaten zu finanzieren.

Das Projekt verfügt über eine zusätzliche Steueranreizvereinbarung mit Jay County, die zu 1,56 Millionen US-Dollar an wirtschaftlichen Entwicklungszahlungen von Bitter Ridge zugunsten mehrerer lokaler Gemeinschaftsinitiativen führte. Es wird geschätzt, dass der Landkreis über die voraussichtliche Laufzeit des Projekts mehr als 18 Millionen US-Dollar an Steuereinnahmen erhalten wird, wobei mehr als die Hälfte direkt an die Jay County Schools gehen wird.

Colorado Developer Executes Initial Step in Growth-Enabling Capital Recycling Effort

BOULDER, Colo. — Scout Clean Energy (Scout), a leading renewable energy developer-owner-operator, today announced the closing of a back-leverage financing transaction for the company’s 130 MW Bitter Ridge Wind Farm in Jay County, Indiana. The project has been in operation since 2020.

The deal marks the initial step in Scout’s capital recycling strategy, aimed at unlocking capital in the Company’s operating projects to fund multiple new projects across Scout’s 19 GW wind, solar, and storage pipeline in the United States.

The project has an additional tax incentive agreement in place with Jay County, which resulted in $1.56 million in economic development payments by Bitter Ridge for the benefit of several local community initiatives. It is estimated that the county will receive more than $18 million in tax revenues over the expected life of the project, with over half going directly to Jay County Schools.
