Brazilian auction results in 53 MW order from new customer Echoenergia

(WK-intern) – New customer Echoenergia, the Brazilian subsidiary of Actis, a global investor specialising in private equity, energy and real estate asset management, has placed a 53 MW order derived from the A-5 Brazilian auction held in 2014, once more underlining Vestas‘ strong capabilities within auction schemes.

The order covers the two wind parks Boa Esperança I and Pedra do Reino IV, comprising 22 MW and 31 MW respectively.

The projects are located in the region of Sobradinho in Bahía and consist of a total of 24 units of locally manufactured V110-2.0 MW wind turbine delivered in 2.2 MW Power Optimised Mode.

Both contracts include the supply and installation of the wind turbines well as a 10-year Active Output Management (AOM 5000) service contract. The commissioning of the wind turbines is planned for 2018.
