(WK-intern) – Der Energy Innovation Award 2025 würdigt die beachtlichen Leistungen des Unternehmens bei der Energiewende, darunter die Verpflichtung, die Kohleverstromung bis 2030 auslaufen zu lassen und bis 2040 Netto-Null-Emissionen zu erreichen.

Die Klimaziele des Unternehmens stehen im Einklang mit dem im Pariser Abkommen festgelegten 1,5-Grad-Reduktionspfad, der durch die Science Based Targets Initiative wissenschaftlich bestätigt wurde.

Der Gewinner wird anschließend von einer unabhängigen Jury führender Experten aus den Bereichen Finanzen, Politik, Wissenschaft und Beratung aus einer engeren Auswahl ausgewählt.

Essen/London – RWE has been awarded the 2025 Energy Innovation Award by Energy Intelligence during this year’s Energy Intelligence Forum in London. The 2025 Energy Innovation Award recognises the company’s considerable achievement in driving the energy transition including its commitment to phase out coal-fired power generation by 2030 and achieving net zero emissions by 2040. The company’s climate targets align with the 1.5-degree reduction pathway as set by the Paris Agreement, which was scientifically confirmed by the Science Based Targets initiative.
