Das Unternehmen stärkt seine Führungsposition im Offshore-Windbereich mit 3.000 MW im Bau, 4.000 MW gesichert und einer großen Pipeline von Projekten in der Entwicklung.

Iberdrola hat mit Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) eine Vereinbarung über den Verkauf einer 49-prozentigen Beteiligung am Offshore-Windpark Wikinger in Deutschland unterzeichnet.

Die Transaktion hat einen Wert von rund 700 Millionen Euro, und Iberdrola wird eine Mehrheitsbeteiligung von 51 % behalten. Gemäß der Vereinbarung beläuft sich der Gesamtwert von Wikinger auf rund 1,425 Milliarden Euro. Iberdrola wird diesen Vermögenswert weiterhin kontrollieren und verwalten und die Betriebs- und Wartungsdienste leiten. Darüber hinaus befinden sich 3.000 MW im Bau, weitere 4.000 MW gesichert und eine umfangreiche Projektpipeline in der Entwicklung. An anderer Stelle hat die Gruppe zwei Offshore-Windparks in Betrieb: West of Duddon Sands und East Anglia One, die 2017 bzw. 2020 in Betrieb genommen wurden und sich in Großbritannien befinden. In den Vereinigten Staaten hat die Iberdrola-Gruppe mit dem Bau des ersten kommerziellen Windparks des Landes begonnen Offshore-Windpark: Vineyard Wind. Vor der Küste von Massachusetts gelegen, wird seine Kapazität von 800 MW den Energiebedarf von 1 Million Haushalten decken. Insgesamt hat Iberdrola etwa 5.000 MW an Offshore-Windprojekten in den Vereinigten Staaten in der Entwicklung, darunter Park City Wind mit 804 MW und Commonwealth Wind mit 1.232 MW. In Deutschland hat die Gruppe mit dem Bau des 476-MW-Projekts Baltic Eagle begonnen Ostsee. Im nächsten Jahr wird mit dem Bau von Windanker begonnen, der eine Kapazität von 308 MW haben wird. Zu diesen neuen Windparks gesellt sich Saint-Brieuc in französischen Gewässern, das voraussichtlich 2023 in Betrieb gehen wird. Iberdrola has signed an agreement with Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) for the sale of a 49% stake in Wikinger offshore wind farm in Germany. The transaction is valued at around €700 million, and Iberdrola will maintain a majority stake of 51%.According to the agreement, Wikinger’s total valuation amounts to approximately €1.425 billion.
