OX2 (publ) und Ålandsbanken Fondbolag Ab haben die bestehende Kooperationsvereinbarung ab November 2021 verlängert und erweitert.

(WK-intern) – Die neue Vereinbarung betrifft die Entwicklung eines weiteren Offshore-Windparks nördlich von Aland. Der Projektname ist Noatun Nord.

Im November 2021 starteten OX2 und Ålandsbanken Fondbolag eine Zusammenarbeit bei einem großen Offshore-Windkraftprojekt südlich von Aland. Diese Kooperation wird nun um ein weiteres Offshore-Windkraftprojekt nördlich von Aland erweitert.

Das Projekt wird nach dem früheren Modell in einem Joint Venture durchgeführt, bei dem OX2 bis zum Abschluss des Projekts der Entwickler ist und Ålandsbanken Fondbolag über einen Fonds, in den die Öffentlichkeit investieren kann, langfristig Teilhaber sein wird das Projekt. Die beiden Projekte werden Noatun Nord und Noatun Syd heißen. Zur Realisierung der Projekte sind alle erforderlichen Genehmigungen der lokalen Regierung von Aland und anderer relevanter Behörden erforderlich.

Das Projekt Noatun Nord befindet sich in einer frühen Entwicklungsphase und würde nach Fertigstellung aus weiteren 360 Turbinen bestehen, die jährlich etwa 20 TWh erzeugen, was dem Jahresverbrauch von etwa 4 Millionen Haushalten entspricht. Sowohl Noatun Nord als auch Noatun Syd sind Teil der definierten Gebiete für Windkraft in der Meeresplanung von Aland sowie Netzlösungen für die Stromverteilung nach Aland, Schweden, Finnland und Estland. Wenn sowohl Noatun Syd als auch Noatun Nord realisiert werden, besteht die Möglichkeit, jährlich 40 TWh zu produzieren, was dem Jahresverbrauch von 8 Millionen Haushalten entspricht.

OX2 (publ) and Ålandsbanken Fondbolag Ab has extended and expanded the existing cooperation agreement from November 2021.

The new agreement concern development of another offshore wind park north of Aland. The project name is Noatun Nord.

In November 2021 OX2 and Ålandsbanken Fondbolag started a cooperation concerning a large-scale offshore wind power project south of Aland. This cooperation is now expanded with another offshore wind power project, this time north of Aland.

The project will be run in accordance with the earlier modell, in a joint venture where OX2 is the developer until the project is completed and Ålandsbanken Fondbolag will be a long-term part owner via a fund that makes it possible for the public to invest in the project. The two projects will be named Noatun Nord and Noatun Syd. To be realized the projects will need all necessary permits from the local government of Aland and other relevant authorities.

The project Noatun Nord is in an early phase of development and would once completed consist of another 360 turbined generating about 20 TWh annually, which corresponds to the yearly consumption of about 4 million households. Both Noatun Nord and Noatun Syd is part of the defined areas for wind power in the maritime planning of Aland as well as grid solutions for the distribution of electricity to Aland, Sweden, Finland and Estonia. If both Noatun Syd and Noatun Nord is realized it would an opportunity to produce 40 TWh annually, which corresponds to the yearly consumption of 8 million households.
