RWE mit zwei Projekten bei italienischer Auktion für fortschrittliche Agri-PV erfolgreich

• Insgesamt sollen 19,1 MWac und mehr als 32.500 Solarmodule in der Provinz Benevento in der Region Kampanien installiert werden
• Baubeginn Anfang 2025, Inbetriebnahme geplant Ende 2025
• Die Solarmodule werden auf einem erhöhten Trackersystem installiert

(WK-intern) – RWE war bei der Auktion des italienischen Resilienz- und Wiederaufbauplans erfolgreich und vergab den Auftrag für Differenztarif und bis zu 40 % Kapitalrendite für fortschrittliche Agri-PV.

Die fortschrittlichen Agri-PV-Anlagen Morcone mit 9,8 Megawatt (MWac) und Acquafredda mit 9,3 MWac, die in der Provinz Benevento in der Region Kampanien liegen, erhielten den Zuschlag.

Der Bau der mehr als 32.500 Solarmodule soll Anfang 2025 beginnen, die Inbetriebnahme ist für Ende nächsten Jahres geplant.

Die Agri-PV-Projekte werden erhöhte Trackersysteme verwenden: Die Solarmodule werden auf einer drei Meter hohen Trackerstruktur mit beweglicher Achse erhöht, was den Energieertrag des PV-Systems erhöht. Die Ernte wird in einem vollständig integrierten Energie-Agrar-System unterhalb der Paneele geerntet, was die landwirtschaftliche Produktion steigert und gleichzeitig die Landnutzung optimiert. Die Paneele bieten Schutz vor Hagel, Frost, Dürre und starkem Regen. Die Leistung der beiden fortschrittlichen Agri-PV-Systeme, einschließlich meteorologischer und landwirtschaftlicher Ertragsdaten, wird von RWE überwacht, um die Agri-PV-Technologie zu verbessern.

RWE successful with two projects in Italian advanced Agri-PV auction

• In total 19.1 MWac and more than 32,500 solar modules to be installed in the Benevento province in Campania region

RWE was successful in the Italian Resilience and Recovery Plan auction, awarding contract for difference tariff and up to 40% return on investment for advanced Agri-PV. The 9.8 megawatt (MWac) Morcone and 9,3 MWac Acquafredda advanced Agri-PV plants, located in the province of Benevento in the Campania region, were awarded. Construction of the more than 32,500 solar modules is scheduled to begin in early 2025, with commissioning scheduled for the end of next year.

The Agri-PV projects will use elevated tracker systems: the solar modules are elevated on a three metre high tracker structure with a movable axis, increasing the energy yield of the PV system. Crops will be harvested below the panels in a fully integrated energy-agri system, increasing agricultural production while optimising land use. The panels provide protection against hail, frost, drought and heavy rain. The performance of the two advanced Agri-PV systems, including meteorological and agricultural yield data, will be monitored by RWE to help improve Agri-PV technology.
