Valmet liefert ein Valmet DNA-Automatisierungssystem an das Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant in Northwich, Großbritannien

(WK-intern) – Valmet wird ein umfassendes Valmet DNA-Automatisierungssystem an das Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant (LSEP) liefern, das sich derzeit in Northwich, Cheshire, Großbritannien, im Bau befindet.

Der Auftrag wurde von LSEP erteilt und Valmet wird eng mit seinen Lieferpartnern Black & Veatch, einem Auftragnehmer für Engineering, Beschaffung und Baumanagement, und Babcock & Wilcox, einem Anbieter von Antriebstechnologie, zusammenarbeiten.

Die Bestellung war im Auftragseingang von Valmet für das vierte Quartal 2023 enthalten. Der Wert der Bestellung wird nicht bekannt gegeben. Die Anlage wird im Jahr 2025 in Betrieb gehen.

Es ist daher eine weitere Gelegenheit, unsere technische Kompetenz unter Beweis zu stellen. Es zeigt auch, wie wichtig es ist, dass ein erfahrener Automatisierungsanbieter alle Anlagensubsysteme integriert und die Daten sinnvoll nutzt, um einen effizienten Anlagenbetrieb zu ermöglichen“, sagt Chris Heywood, Country Manager UK und Irland, Automation, Valmet.

Die LSEP-Anlage wird 60,3 Megawatt Strom ins Netz einspeisen und dabei Restmüll als Brennstoff verwenden. Der Restmüll ist ein Abfallstoff, der nach der Entfernung von wiederverwertbaren Stoffen übrig bleibt.

Valmet will deliver a comprehensive Valmet DNA Automation System to Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant (LSEP) currently under construction in Northwich, Cheshire, the United Kingdom. The order was placed by LSEP and Valmet will work closely with their delivery partners, Black & Veatch, an engineering, procurement and construction management contractor, and Babcock & Wilcox, a powertrain technology provider.

The order was included in Valmet’s orders received of the fourth quarter 2023. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The plant will be operational in 2025.

“Valmet has a strong track record and excellent references in the waste-to-energy sector and has the knowledge and experience that will help our project to be a success”, says Gary Craigie, Project Director, Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant Ltd.

“With this contract, Valmet secures another sustainable energy plant site in the United Kingdom. The LSEP facility will export 60.3 megawatt of electricity to the grid using residual waste as a fuel. The residual waste is a waste material remaining once materials that can be recycled have been removed.
