Oslo, Norwegen – Glamox, ein weltweit führendes Unternehmen im Bereich Beleuchtung, hat den Auftrag erhalten, Dänemarks größten Offshore-Windpark mit energieeffizienter LED-Schiffsbeleuchtung zu beleuchten.

(WK-intern) – Der Auftrag von ProCon Wind Energy umfasst die Installation von Beleuchtungen auf 72 Windkraftanlagenfundamenten für den von RWE errichteten Windpark.

Der Windpark Thor entsteht vor der dänischen Westküste – etwa 22 km von Thorsminde entfernt vor der Westküste Jütlands. Nach Inbetriebnahme wird er mehr als 1 GW Ökostrom für den dänischen Markt erzeugen.

Glamox hat 1.200 marinezertifizierte LED-Leuchten für die äußeren und hängenden inneren Plattformen der Fundamente geliefert. Diese Plattformen sind entscheidend, da sie den Zugang zur Turbine und die technische Verbindung zwischen dem Monopile-Fundament und der Windkraftanlage gewährleisten. Da die Beleuchtung an den äußeren Zugangspunkten installiert wird, muss sie den härtesten Meeresbedingungen standhalten, darunter Salzwasser, Wellen, Blitzeinschläge und Vibrationen durch starken Wind. Die bis zu 100 Meter hohen Turbinenfundamente werden jeweils rund 1.500 Tonnen wiegen. Auf diesen Fundamenten werden Siemens Gamesa Windturbinen vom Typ SG 14-236 DD montiert.

Dänemark: Eine Offshore-Wind-Supermacht

Die Außen- und Innenbeleuchtung nutzt die zweite Generation der MIR-Linearleuchten von Glamox. Diese werden von ProCon Wind Energy in Werften in Polen und Griechenland beschafft, geliefert und installiert. Die zweite Generation dieser robusten, marinezertifizierten Leuchten wurde mit einem Stunt vorgestellt, bei dem eine mit einem Akkupack ausgestattete Leuchte aus 500 Metern Höhe über einem Fjord aus einem Hubschrauber geworfen wurde. Das Thor-Projekt ist in vollem Gange. Die Turbinen sollen 2026 installiert und 2027 in Betrieb genommen werden.

Glamox wins contract to light Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm

Oslo, Norway – Glamox, a world leader in lighting, has a contract to light Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm with its energy-efficient LED marine lighting. The contract from ProCon Wind Energy will see lighting installed on 72 wind turbine foundations for the wind farm being constructed by RWE.

The Thor wind farm will be located off the Danish west coast – approximately 22 km from Thorsminde off the west coast of Jutland. Once operational, it will generate more than 1 GW of green electricity for the Danish market.

Glamox has provided 1,200 marine-certified LED luminaires for the external and suspended internal platforms of the foundations. These platforms are critical as they ensure access to the turbine and the technical connection between the monopile foundation and the wind turbine. Since the lighting is installed at external access points, it must withstand the harshest marine conditions, including saltwater exposure, waves, lightning strikes, and vibrations from strong winds. The turbine foundations, which reach up to 100 metres in height, will each weigh approximately 1,500 tonnes. Siemens Gamesa SG 14-236 DD wind turbines will be mounted on these foundations.

Denmark: a superpower in offshore wind

The external and internal lights use Glamox’s second-generation family of MIR linear luminaires. These will be procured, supplied and installed by ProCon Wind Energy at yards in Poland and Greece. The second generation of these robust marine-certified luminaires was launched with a stunt involving a luminaire equipped with a battery pack, thrown out of a helicopter at a height of 500 metres above a fjord. The Thor project is well underway. Turbine installation is due in 2026, with the start of operations in 2027.
