Inch Cape Offshore Limited, ein Joint Venture zwischen Red Rock Power Limited und ESB, hat Vestas zum bevorzugten Windturbinenlieferanten für den 1,1 GW Offshore-Windpark Inch Cape in Schottland ernannt.

(WK-intern) – Sowohl Red Rock Power als auch ESB sind Vestas-Kunden für Onshore-Windprojekte, und mit dieser neuen Verpflichtung werden diese Partnerschaften nun auch Offshore fortgesetzt.

Das Projekt, das 15 km vor der Angus-Küste im Osten Schottlands liegt, wird 72 V236-15,0-MW-Turbinen umfassen.

Die Vereinbarung umfasst auch einen 15-jährigen Betriebs- und Wartungsvertrag (O&M), der eine mehrjährige Lösung für die Wartung des Windparks im Betrieb bietet.

Inch Cape Offshore Limited sicherte sich in der vierten CfD-Zuteilungsrunde des Vereinigten Königreichs, die am 7. Juli 2022 endete, einen Contract for Difference und kündigte kürzlich den Renewables Hub im Hafen von Dundee als beabsichtigten Vormontagestandort und den Hafen von Montrose als geplanten Standort an O&M-Basis des Projekts.

Wenn die Vereinbarung mit Inch Cape zu einem Festauftrag für Vestas wird, wird Vestas den Auftrag in einer Unternehmensmitteilung gemäß der Offenlegungsrichtlinie des Unternehmens bekannt geben.

Vestas selected as preferred supplier for the 1.1 GW Inch Cape offshore wind project in the UK

Inch Cape Offshore Limited, a joint venture between Red Rock Power Limited and ESB, has appointed Vestas as the preferred wind turbine supplier for the 1.1 GW Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm in Scotland. Both Red Rock Power and ESB are Vestas clients for onshore wind projects, and with this new commitment, these partnerships now continue offshore.

The project, located 15 km off the Angus Coast on the East of Scotland, will feature 72 V236-15.0 MW turbines. The agreement also includes a 15-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract, which will provide a multi-year solution to service the wind farm when operational.

Inch Cape Offshore Limited secured a Contract for Difference in the UK’s fourth CfD allocation round, which concluded on July 7, 2022, and recently announced the Renewables Hub at the Port of Dundee as its intended pre-assembly site and the Port of Montrose as the project’s O&M base.

If and when the agreement with Inch Cape becomes a firm order for Vestas, Vestas will disclose the order in a company announcement in accordance with the company’s disclosure policy.
