Vestas hat ein 38-MW-Projekt in Großbritannien gesichert, das sich im südwestlichen Teil Schottlands befinden wird.

(WK-intern) – Der Windpark wird mit einer maßgeschneiderten Vestas-Lösung ausgestattet sein, die neun V117-4,2 MW-Turbinen mit 81,5 m hohen Türmen umfasst, um die Energieerzeugung bei mittleren bis starken Windverhältnissen des Standorts zu maximieren und gleichzeitig die Anforderungen an die Spitzenhöhe zu erfüllen.

Vestas wins 38 MW order in the UK

Vestas has secured a 38 MW project in the UK that will be located in the southwestern part of Scotland. The wind park will feature a customised Vestas solution, including nine V117-4.2 MW turbines with 81.5 m towers to maximise energy production in the site’s medium to high wind conditions while meeting the tip height requirements.

“This project enables a highly competitive business case for our customer and offers the lowest cost of energy to the British energy consumers. It marks another step forward for renewable energy in the UK”, states Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe.

Turbine deliveries are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2021, while commissioning is planned for the third quarter of 2021.
