SeAH Wind freut sich, die Ernennung von Mammoet, Glacier Energy und Hutchinson Engineering als Haupt-Subunternehmer für das Offshore-Windprojekt Hornsea 3 bekannt zu geben.

(WK-intern) – Da die kommerzielle Produktion in den kommenden Monaten beginnen soll, wurden diese Subunternehmer ausgewählt, um die operativen und logistischen Dienstleistungen auf dem 120 Hektar großen Gelände am Südufer von Teesworks, Großbritannien, zu unterstützen.

SeAH Wind wird die Monopile-Fundamente für das Offshore-Windprojekt Hornsea 3 liefern, das etwa 120 km vor der Küste Norfolks in der Nordsee liegt. Nach seiner Fertigstellung wird es der größte Offshore-Windpark der Welt sein.

Mammoet wurde beauftragt, selbstangetriebene modulare Transporter (SPMTs) innerhalb der SeAH Wind-Anlage bereitzustellen. Der Umfang umfasst den Transport von Can/Cone-Strukturen und fertigen Monopiles. Durch die Nutzung der Expertise von Mammoet bei Schwertransportlösungen in der Offshore-Windkraft-Standortlogistik gewährleistet SeAH Wind eine nahtlose und effiziente Bewegung von Monopiles, minimiert Ausfallzeiten und verbessert die Gesamtproduktionseffizienz.

Glacier Energy führt während des gesamten Herstellungsprozesses zerstörungsfreie Prüfungen (NDT) der Schweißnähte durch und stellt so höchste Qualitätsstandards sicher. Die strengen NDT-Prüfungen verbessern die Zuverlässigkeit und Haltbarkeit der Monopiles und stellen sicher, dass sie sowohl Ørsteds strengen Standards als auch den internationalen Offshore-Windvorschriften entsprechen.

Hutchinson Engineering wurde mit der Lieferung sekundärer Stahlkomponenten für das Hornsea 3-Projekt beauftragt. SeAH Wind suchte nach einem in Großbritannien ansässigen Unternehmen, das in der Lage ist, diese komplexen Teile in Übereinstimmung mit den strengen Zeichnungen und Spezifikationen von Ørsted zu liefern. Hutchinson Engineerings bisherige Erfahrung mit Ørsted-Projekten, kombiniert mit seinem Fachwissen, macht sie zu einem idealen Partner für diese Phase des Projekts.

Mammoet signs contract to support SeAH Wind with Hornsea 3 offshore wind project

SeAH Wind is pleased to announce the appointment of Mammoet, Glacier Energy, and Hutchinson Engineering as key subcontractors for the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Project. With commercial production set to commence in the coming months, these subcontractors have been selected to support with the operational and logistical services within the 120-acre site located on the South Bank of Teesworks, UK.

SeAH Wind will be supplying the monopile foundations for the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Project, situated approximately 120 km off the Norfolk Coast in the North Sea. Upon completion, it will become the world’s largest offshore wind farm.

Mammoet has been appointed to provide self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs) within the SeAH Wind facility. Its scope includes the transportation of can/cone structures and completed monopiles. By leveraging Mammoet’s expertise in heavy transport solutions in offshore wind site logistics, SeAH Wind ensures a seamless and efficient movement of monopiles, minimizing downtime and improving overall production efficiency.

Its rigorous NDT inspections will enhance the reliability and durability of the monopiles, ensuring they meet both Ørsted’s stringent standards and international offshore wind regulations.

SeAH Wind sought a UK-based company capable of delivering these complex parts in compliance with stringent Ørsted drawings and specifications. Hutchinson Engineering’s previous experience on Ørsted projects, combined with its expertise, makes them an ideal partner for this phase of the project.
