This brings the H145 fleet of the company to a total of five aircraft, after initial deliveries of two helicopters in 2016 and 2017 and two leased H145s. It continues the successful story of Wiking in the offshore industry with the H145 as quickly adaptable helicopter type for numerous missions. The helicopters of Wiking are used to drop off harbour pilots, fly air rescue missions over the North Sea and transport service technicians to offshore wind farms. The H145 in offshore configuration will be equipped with an emergency flotation system certified for Sea State 6, a weather radar, and a hoist to bring passengers directly to their target destination where potential landing by helicopter or boat would not be possible. The H145 can be equipped with seating for up to eight passengers in compliance with international offshore regulations. The combination of compact external dimensions, a comparatively small rotor diameter, the largest interior in its class and maximum power-toweight ratio make the H145 ideal for offshore operations. The Helionix cockpit with 4-axis autopilot and auto-hover function are further advantages for such demanding missions, as the pilot work-load can be reduced and a maximum level of safety can be reached. Airbus Bank has arranged financing for this helicopter. Airbus Bank is a 100% affiliate of Airbus and is active in the aviation finance market. Airbus Bank teams up with partners, in this case LHI Group, to provide customized financing solutions for operators of Airbus Helicopters’ products.
