Münchenstein – Die Zukunft nachhaltiger Energie beginnt heute in der Schweiz:

(WK-intern) – Der Ecore One, eine innovative Plug-and-Play-Lösung für die autarke Strom- und Wärmeversorgung auf Wasserstoffbasis, ist ab sofort bei Primeo Energie Kosmos, einem Wissenschafts- und Erlebniszentrum für Klima und Energie, in Betrieb.

Dank der Zusammenarbeit von Infener und Ostermeier H2ydrogen Solutions kann erneuerbare Energie aus Solarenergie nun als grüner Wasserstoff gespeichert werden und das 800 m² große Primeo Energie-Gebäude potenziell ganzjährig CO₂-neutral versorgen.

Zu diesem Anlass findet heute eine Pressekonferenz bei Primeo Energie Kosmos statt.

Die Schweiz hat kürzlich ihre nationale Wasserstoffstrategie vorgestellt und positioniert grünen Wasserstoff als eine tragende Säule für die Dekarbonisierung von Industrie, Schwerlastverkehr und Energiespeicherung. Der Ecore One passt perfekt zu dieser Strategie: Er speichert überschüssige erneuerbare Energie als Wasserstoff und liefert Strom und Wärme bedarfsgerecht – eine ideale Lösung für eine nachhaltige Wärmeplanung in Städten, Gemeinden und Unternehmen. Der Ecore One integriert mehrere Energietechnologien in einem einzigen System: Elektrolyseur, Brennstoffzelle, Batterie, Kompressor, Wärmepumpe und ein fortschrittliches Energiemanagementsystem. Sein Einsatz bei Primeo Energie Kosmos in Zusammenarbeit mit der Equalio-Plattform dient zugleich als Testphase für die Entwicklung eines innovativen Energiemanagementsystems, das dynamische Strompreise nutzt. Durch die flexible Anpassung des Verbrauchs an variable Tarife optimiert das System die Kosten, reduziert die Netzbelastung und unterstützt die Netzstabilität durch Lastverschiebung und Ausgleichsleistungen.

Bei Primeo Energie Kosmos verfügt der Ecore One über einen 10-Kilowatt-Elektrolyseur, eine 8-kW-Brennstoffzelle und eine 13-Kilowattstunden-Batterie. Es wird mit Energie aus einer externen Photovoltaikanlage (PV) betrieben und hat je nach PV-Größe, Speicherkapazität und Energieverbrauch das Potenzial, eine vollständige Energieautarkie zu erreichen. Der modulare Aufbau des Ecore One ermöglicht eine flexible Skalierung.

Der Ecore One wurde mit dem German Innovation Award und zwei Red Dot Awards ausgezeichnet. Das Design stammt von N+P Innovation Design. Das System wurde 2024 erstmals auf der ees Europe, Europas führender Fachmesse für Batterie- und Energiespeichersysteme, vorgestellt und ist nun bei Primeo Energie Kosmos in Betrieb und kann besichtigt werden.

Launch of the Ecore One: Hydrogen Self-Sufficiency Begins at Primeo Energie Kosmos

Münchenstein / Munich – The future of sustainable energy begins today in Switzerland: The Ecore One, an innovative plug-and-play solution for self-sufficient electricity and heat supply based on hydrogen, is now in operation at Primeo Energie Kosmos, a science and experience centre dedicated to climate and energy. Thanks to the collaboration between Infener and ostermeier H2ydrogen Solutions, renewable energy from solar power can now be stored as green hydrogen, potentially supplying the 800 m² Primeo Energie building with CO₂-neutral energy year-round. A press conference is being held at Primeo Energie Kosmos today to mark the occasion.

Switzerland recently unveiled its national hydrogen strategy, positioning green hydrogen as a key pillar for decarbonising industry, heavy transport, and energy storage. The Ecore One aligns perfectly with this strategy: it stores excess renewable energy as hydrogen and provides electricity and heat on demand—an ideal solution for sustainable heat planning in cities, municipalities, and businesses. The Ecore One integrates multiple energy technologies into a single system: an electrolyser, fuel cell, battery, compressor, heat pump, and an advanced energy management system. Its deployment at Primeo Energie Kosmos, in collaboration with the Equalio platform, also serves as a test phase for developing an innovative energy management system that leverages dynamic electricity pricing. By adjusting consumption flexibly to variable tariffs, the system optimises costs, reduces grid strain, and supports grid stability through load shifting and balancing services.

At Primeo Energie Kosmos, the Ecore One features a 10-kilowatt (kW) electrolyser, an 8 kW fuel cell, and a 13-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery. It operates with energy supplied by an external photovoltaic (PV) system and, depending on PV size, storage capacity, and energy consumption, has the potential to achieve complete energy self-sufficiency. The Ecore One’s modular design allows for flexible scaling.

The Ecore One has been recognised with the German Innovation Award and two Red Dot Awards. The design was created by N+P Innovation Design. First unveiled at ees Europe, Europe’s leading trade fair for battery and energy storage systems, in 2024, the system is now operational at Primeo Energie Kosmos and available for viewing.
