Die Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) hat einen neuen Wettbewerb um Entwicklungszuschüsse in Höhe von 2 Mio. £ gestartet und angekündigt, dass 12 Unternehmen im Rahmen ihrer Förderaufrufe für 2024 insgesamt 3 Mio. £ an Fördermitteln vergeben werden.

(WK-intern) – Das Entwicklungszuschussprogramm von OWGP zielt darauf ab, britische Lieferkettenunternehmen bei der Expansion zu unterstützen und die Position des Landes auf dem globalen Offshore-Windmarkt mit einem Gesamtfinanzierungstopf von 2 Mio. £ deutlich zu stärken.

Die verfügbaren Zuschüsse reichen von 50.000 bis 500.000 £, wobei Antragsteller bis zu 500.000 £ für Projekte beantragen können, die bis zu 50 % des Gesamtbudgets abdecken. Der Wettbewerb steht sowohl Unternehmen des Offshore-Windsektors als auch Unternehmen außerhalb der Branche offen, sofern ihre Projekte mit den in der Supply Chain Capability Analysis and Industrial Growth Plan festgelegten Prioritäten übereinstimmen.

Die Mittel werden auf Wettbewerbsbasis vergeben, wobei Vorschlägen mit marktnahen oder marktreifen Lösungen und einem klaren Wachstumsziel innerhalb des Sektors Vorrang eingeräumt wird.

Im Jahr 2024 vergab OWGP 3 Millionen Pfund an Fördermittel an 12 in Großbritannien ansässige Lieferkettenunternehmen, um Innovationen im Einklang mit dem Industrial Growth Plan und der Supply Chain Capability Analysis voranzutreiben. Dazu gehörten 1 Million Pfund an Innovationszuschüssen, die von Ocean Winds und ScottishPower Renewables unterstützt wurden, und 2 Millionen Pfund an Entwicklungszuschüssen zur Förderung des Sektorwachstums.

Hutchinson Engineering, Power CSL, RelyOn, Global Greenergy Group und Oxford Sensors wurden Entwicklungszuschüsse zuerkannt, während Synaptec, Sedwell Ltd (unter dem Namen InterBolt), Marine Power Systems, Apollo, Crondall Energy, HonuWorx und HPR Rov Fördermittel aus dem OWGP-Innovationszuschuss erhielten.

Die Bewerbungsfrist für die erste Phase des Development Grant beginnt heute und endet am Freitag, den 28. Februar.

OWGP awards twelve companies a share of £3m and announces a further £2m in scale up funding

The Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) has launched a new £2 million Development Grant competition and announced a combined £3 million in funding awarded to 12 companies from their 2024 funding calls.

OWGP’s Development Grant programme aims to support UK supply chain companies to scale up, significantly strengthening the country’s position in the global offshore wind market with a total funding pot of £2 million.

The grants available will range from £50k to £500k, with applicants eligible to request up to £500k for projects that cover up to 50% of the total budget. The competition is open to both offshore wind sector companies and those outside the industry, provided their projects align with priorities outlined in the Supply Chain Capability Analysis and Industrial Growth Plan.

Funding will be awarded on a competitive basis, with priority given to proposals featuring near-to-market or market-ready solutions, and a clear ambition for growth within the sector.

In 2024, OWGP awarded £3 million in funding to 12 UK-based supply chain companies, helping to drive innovation in line with the Industrial Growth Plan and Supply Chain Capability Analysis. This included £1 million in Innovation Grants, championed by Ocean Winds and ScottishPower Renewables, and £2 million in Development Grants to foster sector growth.
