Projekt-Update Vestmanna: Kommerzielles Kraftwerk: Dragon 12 am Netz und erzeugt Strom

(WK-intern) – Minesto, führender Entwickler von Meeresenergie, setzt den Betrieb und die Testaktivitäten in Vestmanna auf den Färöer-Inseln fort.

Der 12-Megawatt-Gezeitendrachen „Luna“ von Dragon ist nach einer Modernisierungsphase, insbesondere mit einer längeren Leine, bereits im Betrieb.

Der Dragon 12 „Luna“ ist in Vestmannasund auf den Färöer-Inseln installiert und speist mit einer erweiterten Leine Strom ins Netz ein. Die Stromproduktion in Kombination mit zahlreichen Studienbesuchen von Kunden und anderen Interessengruppen macht Vestmanna zum zentralen Ziel von Minesto.

Project Update Vestmanna: Commercial Scale Powerplant: Dragon 12 grid connected, producing electricity

Minesto, leading ocean energy developer, continues operation and testing activities in Vestmanna, Faroe Islands. The Dragon 12 megawatt tidal kite “Luna” is in electricity production, following an upgrade period most prominently including a longer tether.

The Dragon 12 “Luna” is installed in Vestmannasund, Faroe Islands, producing electricity to grid with an extended tether configuration. Electricity production combined with a range of study visits from customers and other stakeholders make Vestmanna to the centre of attention for Minesto.
