Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation vergibt Fördermittel an 352 gemeinnützige Organisationen in mehreren Bundesstaaten

(WK-intern) – RICHMOND, Virginia – Die Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation vergab kürzlich Fördermittel in Höhe von 10 Millionen US-Dollar an gemeinnützige Organisationen in mehreren Bundesstaaten.

Fördermittel wurden an 352 Organisationen im Einzugsgebiet von Dominion Energy vergeben, darunter 190 in Virginia.

Diese Mittel unterstützen eine Vielzahl von Programmen und Dienstleistungen, darunter den Zugang zu gesunden Mahlzeiten für Senioren, die Verbesserung der Zugänglichkeit von Naturlehrpfaden, psychosoziale Dienste in Gemeindekliniken, die Ausweitung der Wohneigentumsbildung für bedürftige Familien und therapeutische Kunstprogramme für Militärangehörige, Veteranen und ihre Familien. Unter anderem werden folgende Projekte gefördert:

• Rx Partnership in Richmond, das den Zugang zu Medikamenten für Menschen ohne Krankenversicherung verbessert
• ForKids in Chesapeake, das die regionale Hotline für Wohnungskrisen unterstützt
• The Friends of Dyke Marsh in Alexandria, das sich für die Bekämpfung invasiver Pflanzen und die Wiederherstellung von Lebensräumen im Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve einsetzt

„Diese von Aktionären finanzierten Zuschüsse sollen die gute Arbeit gemeinnütziger Organisationen in den Gemeinden stärken“, sagte Hunter A. Applewhite, Präsident der Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation. „Wir streben täglich danach, in allen von Dominion Energy betreuten Bereichen positive Veränderungen zu bewirken. Fördermittel stehen Organisationen in Gebieten zur Verfügung, in denen Dominion Energy Strom oder Erdgas liefert oder bedeutende Geschäftsinteressen hat. Dazu gehören Virginia, South Carolina, der Nordosten North Carolinas sowie Teile von West Virginia, Connecticut und Rhode Island.

Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation Awards Grants to 352 Nonprofits Across Multiple States

• More than $10 million awarded to nonprofit organizations
• Grants awarded to 352 nonprofits across 6 states, including 190 in Virginia
• Funding supports human needs, environmental stewardship, education, and community vitality

RICHMOND, Va. – The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation recently awarded $10 million in grants to nonprofit organizations across multiple states.

Grants were awarded to 352 organizations across the Dominion Energy footprint, including 190 organizations in Virginia. This funding supports a variety of programs and services, including access to healthy meals for seniors, enhancing accessibility at nature trails, mental health services at community clinics, expanding homeownership education for families in need, and therapeutic art programs for military service members, veterans and their families, among other causes, such as:

• Rx Partnership in Richmond, which will expand medication access for people who are uninsured
• ForKids in Chesapeake, which will support the Regional Housing Crisis Hotline
• The Friends of Dyke Marsh in Alexandria, which will work to control invasive plants and restore habitat in the Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve

„These shareholder-funded grants are designed to strengthen the good work that’s already taking place by nonprofits across local communities,“ said Hunter A. Funding is available to organizations in areas where Dominion Energy provides electricity or natural gas or has significant business interests. These include Virginia, South Carolina, northeastern North Carolina, and parts of West Virginia, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
