ZX Measurement Services unterstützt die Entwicklung des 100-MW-Energieparks Eysturlund

(WK-intern) – ZX Measurement Services unterstützt Effo bei der Weiterentwicklung des 100-MW-Energieparks Eysturlund auf den Färöern.

Das Kerngeschäft von Effo ist die Energieversorgung. Effo ist das größte Energieunternehmen der Färöer und Eigentümer des größten Windparks der Färöer, Gellingarklettur.

Gellingarklettur kann alle Haushalte der Färöer mit Energie versorgen.

Der Energiepark Eysturlund ist der nächste Schritt der Energiewende mit Fokus auf die Elektrifizierung der Industrie. Eysturlund wird 24 Windturbinen mit je 4,2 MW Leistung umfassen und voraussichtlich jährlich 350 GWh erneuerbare Energie erzeugen. Diese Produktion sauberer Energie dürfte rund 10 % des Verbrauchs fossiler Brennstoffe auf den Färöern decken und stellt damit einen wesentlichen Fortschritt im Nachhaltigkeitsengagement der Region dar.

ZX Measurement Services hat EFFO schlüsselfertige Dienstleistungen erbracht, darunter die Vermietung des ZX 300 Wind-Lidars sowie monatliche Daten- und Berichtsdienste. Der Wind-Lidar wird für eine zwölfmonatige Windressourcenbewertungskampagne eingesetzt und sammelt wichtige Daten zur Optimierung des Designs und der Energieausbeute des Parks. Die Lidar-Technologie ermöglicht präzise Windmessungen in verschiedenen Höhen und liefert wichtige Erkenntnisse für die Platzierung der Turbinen und die allgemeine Machbarkeit des Projekts.

ZX Measurement Services supports development of 100MW Eysturlund Energy Park

ZX Measurement Services are supporting Effo with the progression of the 100MW Eysturlund Energy Park Development in the Faroe Islands. Effos’s core business is the provision of energy. Effo is the largest energy company in the Faroe Islands and is the owner of the largest wind farm in the Faroe Islands, Gellingarklettur. Gellingarklettur can produce energy to all the households in the Faroe Islands.

The energy park Eysturlund is the next step in the energy transition with focus on electrification of the industry. Eysturlund will feature 24 x 4.2MW wind turbines and is expected to generate 350GWh of renewable energy annually. This production of clean energy should offset around 10% of the fossil fuel consumption in the Faroe Islands, marking a substantial advancement in the region’s commitment to sustainability.

ZX Measurement Services has provided turnkey services to EFFO, with the rental of the ZX 300 wind Lidar and monthly data and reporting services. The wind Lidar will be utilised for a 12-month wind resource assessment campaign, gathering critical data to optimise the design and energy output of the park. The Lidar technology enables precise wind measurements at multiple heights, providing essential insights for turbine placement and overall project feasibility.
