September 2013 Werbung (WK-intern) - CWind, a leading UK offshore wind service provider, is celebrating the official opening of the Lincs Offshore Wind Farm. CWind provided vessels and services for the construction of the wind farm to its clients CT Offshore and Siemens. Lincs is a 270MW project, which will be capable of producing enough energy to meet the annual power needs of more than 200,000 households – equivalent to two thirds of the homes in Lincolnshire. August 2013 Werbung (WK-intern) - DONG Energy has just sold its 33% interest in the Norwegian onshore wind company Kvalheim Kraft to Vardar Boreas AS, which already owns a 33% interest in Kvalheim Kraft. Kvalheim Kraft owns two operating wind farms, Mehuken 1 and 2, which are located close to the west coast of Norway approx. 300 km north of Bergen. The combined wind farms have a total installed capacity of approximately 23 MW, consisting of 4.25 MW from Mehuken 1 and 18.4 MW from Mehuken 2. IKEA to purchase Irish wind farm from Mainstream Renewable Power Windenergie Windparks Wirtschaft 12. August 2013 Werbung (WK-intern) - Global wind and solar company Mainstream Renewable Power has closed a deal to sell its 7.65 megawatt Carrickeeny Wind Farm to IKEA, the world’s largest furniture retailer. Mainstream has commenced construction of the project which is located in Leitrim in the North West of Ireland and it is expected to be operational in early 2014 at which point IKEA will purchase the plant.
