US-Bundesgericht erlässt einstweilige Verfügung zur Wiederaufnahme des Baus von Sunrise Wind

(WK-intern) – Das US-Bezirksgericht für den District of Columbia hat heute die von Sunrise Wind LLC („Sunrise Wind“) beantragte einstweilige Verfügung gegen die vom Direktor des Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) des US-Innenministeriums am 22. Dezember 2025 erlassene Aussetzungsanordnung erlassen.

Durch die Entscheidung des Gerichts kann das Sunrise-Wind-Projekt (das „Projekt“) die betroffenen Arbeiten unverzüglich wieder aufnehmen, während das zugrundeliegende Gerichtsverfahren gegen die Anordnung des BOEM-Direktors vom 22. Dezember 2025 weiterläuft.

Sunrise Wind wird prüfen, wie eine Zusammenarbeit mit der US-Regierung möglich ist, um eine zügige und dauerhafte Lösung zu erzielen.

Das Projekt wird die Bauarbeiten so schnell wie möglich wieder aufnehmen, wobei die Sicherheit höchste Priorität hat, um den Staat New York mit bezahlbarem und zuverlässigem Strom zu versorgen.

US federal court grants preliminary injunction allowing Sunrise Wind construction to resume

Today, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia granted the preliminary injunction sought by Sunrise Wind LLC (‘Sunrise Wind’) regarding the 22 December 2025 suspension order issued by the Director of the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (‘BOEM’). The court’s action will allow the Sunrise Wind Project (the ‘Project’) to restart impacted activities immediately while the underlying lawsuit challenging the 22 December 2025 BOEM Director’s Order progresses. Sunrise Wind will determine how it may be possible to work with the US Administration to achieve an expeditious and durable resolution.

The Project will resume construction work as soon as possible, with safety as the top priority, to deliver affordable, reliable power to the State of New York.
