La Ciotat, Frankreich – Holcim hat eine Minderheitsbeteiligung an BW Ideol, einem Pionier der schwimmenden Offshore-Windtechnologie, erworben, um den Bau von Infrastruktur für saubere Energie voranzutreiben.

(WK-intern) – Die beiden Unternehmen werden eine strategische Partnerschaft eingehen, um innovative Materialien für zwei Fertigungslinien für schwimmende Fundamente zu liefern, die BW Ideol in Südfrankreich und Nordostschottland entwickelt hat.

BW Ideol verfügt über 15 Jahre Erfahrung in der Entwicklung, Konstruktion und Fertigung von schwimmenden Offshore-Windparkfundamenten und ist an zwei schwimmenden Windparkprojekten beteiligt: ​​einem vor der Nordostküste Schottlands mit einer Kapazität von 960 MW und einem vor der Südküste Frankreichs mit einer Kapazität von 270 MW.

Holcim partners with BW Ideol to scale up the construction of offshore wind infrastructure

La Ciotat, France  – Holcim has taken a minority equity ownership in BW Ideol, a pioneer in floating offshore wind technology, to scale up the construction of clean energy infrastructure. The two companies will form a strategic partnership for the supply of innovative materials to two fabrication lines for floating foundations, developed by BW Ideol in Southern France and Northeast Scotland.

BW Ideol has 15 years’ experience of design, engineering and fabrication of offshore floating wind foundations, and has equity ownerships in two floating wind projects: one off Scotland’s Northeast coast with a capacity of 960 MW, and one off France’s Southern coast with a capacity of 270 MW.
