BayWa r.e.’s 29.7 MW Fraisthorpe Wind Farm Now Fully Operational (WK-intern) - BayWa r.e. announced today that its Fraisthorpe Wind Farm in Bridlington, 40 miles east of York, started full commercial operations on 8th June 2016. BayWa r.e. bought the consented site from the previous developer in December 2014, finalised development and commenced construction in March 2015. The windfarm consists of nine Vestas 3.3 MW V112MW turbines and associated infrastructure. Katy Hogg, Managing Director of BayWa r.e. UK, stated that, “the BayWa r.e. UK Wind Projects team has worked hard over the last 18 months to implement the Fraisthorpe project on time and budget.
