BW Ideols Werk für schwimmende Fundamente in Fos3F erhält bis zu 126 Millionen Euro an öffentlichen Fördermitteln

(WK-intern) – BW Ideol freut sich, bekanntzugeben, dass sein Werk in Fos3F bis zu 126 Millionen Euro an öffentlichen Fördermitteln erhalten hat.

Darunter fallen bis zu 74 Millionen Euro aus dem EU-Innovationsfonds (die endgültige 0 wurde am 19. März unterzeichnet) und bis zu 52 Millionen Euro vom französischen Staat.

Das Projekt Fos3F zielt darauf ab, in Fos-sur-Mer an der französischen Mittelmeerküste ein einzigartiges Werk zu errichten und zu betreiben, das sich auf die Serienproduktion von schwimmenden Betonfundamenten für Windkraftanlagen spezialisiert hat. Diese basieren auf dem patentierten Damping Pool®-Verfahren von BW Ideol. Mit einer Kapazität von bis zu 30 Fundamenten pro Jahr wird das Werk in Fos3F einen bedeutenden Anteil zukünftiger schwimmender Windkraftprojekte im Mittelmeerraum liefern können.

Es wird zur Stärkung der Energieunabhängigkeit der EU beitragen, indem es eine lokale Lieferkette sichert, die vor externen geopolitischen Unsicherheiten und Preisschwankungen geschützt ist. Diese öffentliche Unterstützung stellt einen wichtigen Meilenstein in der Finanzierung der Fos3F-Fabrik dar. Sie bestätigt die starke institutionelle Unterstützung für Fos3F und stärkt die Glaubwürdigkeit des Projekts auf seinem Weg in die nächsten Entwicklungsphasen.

Im November 2025 wurde das Projekt für eine Förderung aus dem Innovationsfonds der Europäischen Kommission ausgewählt, einem der weltweit größten Förderprogramme für innovative CO₂-arme Technologien. Die Finanzhilfevereinbarung mit der Europäischen Kommission wurde am 19. März unterzeichnet.

Das Fos3F-Projektunternehmen wird zudem von der französischen Regierung unterstützt, die Ende 2025 im Rahmen des Steuergutschriftprogramms C3IV Fördermittel bewilligte. Dieses Programm fördert führende französische Unternehmen der grünen Industrie und stellt bis zu 52 Millionen Euro zur teilweisen Finanzierung von Entwicklungs- und Investitionskosten bereit.

BW Ideol’s Fos3F Floating Foundation Factory Secures Up to €126 Million in Public Funding

BW Ideol is pleased to announce that its Fos3F factory has secured up to €126 million in public funding, including up to €74 million from the EU Innovation Fund, with the final Grant Agreement signed on March 19, and up to €52 million from the French State.

The Fos3F project aims to build and operate a first-of-its-kind factory in Fos-sur-Mer, on France’s Mediterranean coast, dedicated to the serial production of concrete floating wind foundations based on BW Ideol’s patented Damping Pool®. With a capacity of up to 30 floating foundations per year, the Fos3F factory will be able to supply a significant share of future Mediterranean floating wind projects.

It will contribute to strengthening and reinforcing the EU energy independence by securing a local supply chain, preserved from external geopolitical uncertainties and price volatility. This public support represents a major milestone in the funding of the Fos3F factory, confirming the strong institutional backing behind Fos3F and reinforcing the project’s credibility as it advances toward its next development stages.

In November 2025, the project was selected for funding under the European Commission’s Innovation Fund, one of the world’s largest funding programmes for innovative low-carbon technologies and the Grant Agreement has been signed with the European Commission on March 19.

Fos3F project company is also supported by the French government, which awarded support at the end of 2025 through the C3IV tax credit scheme. This scheme is dedicated to supporting leading French companies in the Green Industry and will cover up to €52 million to partially fund development and capital expenditures.
