The aim of the 6th Energy Forum is analyze the energy policy of the European Union. The special attention shall be given to the Common Energy Policy and the EU‘s Energy ad Climate Package. Both questions are the great challenge for all European Union Member States and they are particularly difficult for CEE Countries. The Energy Forum (Prague 2006, 2007; Budapest 2008, 2009; Sopot 2010, 2011) is the perfect meeting place, where the ideas, practices and new solutions is to be shared among all key stakeholders: the government‘s representatives, the business environment and the non-governmental sector. The Energy Forum aims to create a discussion platform by sketching possible future developments in energy globally, in the European Union and in the Central Eastern European region. Its aim is to identify options for Central Eastern European political and business decision makers to influence energy developments through positive impact of cooperation. One of the priorities of Polish Presidency in the European Union is creating energy solidarity between European countries. Sopot, situated next to historical city of Gdańsk, is the perfect place to discuss this particular question.
