(WK-intern) – A2SEA signs contract for Arkona

From summer 2018, A2SEA will play a key role in building the 385MW Arkona Offshore Wind Farm for E.ON and Statoil in the Baltic Sea.

A2SEA’s purpose-built offshore installation vessel SEA CHALLENGER will be deployed to install the 60 Siemens 6MW turbines in 2018.

The contract cements A2SEA’s position in the installation market as a competent, serious contractor and our experienced crew both onshore and offshore is ready for yet another seamless, wellplanned and safe operation. The Arkona Offshore Wind Farm is located in the Baltic Sea. E.ON will have responsibility for building and operating the wind farm. The energy company Statoil will have a 50-percent stake and be involved in the project from the start. When fully commissioned, the offshore wind farm.
