Fleet of WINDEA Group keeps growing

(WK-intern) – WINDEA shareholder Bernhard Schulte has ordered two service operation vessels (SOVs) of the ULSTEIN SX175 design at Ulstein Verft.

The vessels will sail in a long-term charter contract for SIEMENS.

The usage of SOVs will improve the efficiency of service operations at wind farms. The vessel functions as a reliable and environmentally sound platform for wind farm operations and maintenance support, technician accommodation and transport, and the provision of exceptional levels of safe reliable access to installations offshore.

With the ULSTEIN SX175 the collaborative design team of Ulstein, WINDEA and Bernhard Schulte created a vessel, which perfectly fits the needs of the offshore wind industry.

The vessels will be delivered in 2016 and 2017, and be operated by Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement.

Main particulars:

Length 88m, breadth 18 m, speed 13.5 knots and accommodation up to 109 people.
